Awful experience with this doctor. I was a patient for over a year and really liked her at first. However, when I asked for her to share recent test results with a specialist I had began to see, her office staff refused to send my record and stated that the doctor treated my condition and that I shouldn?t be seeing a specialist. I informed her and staff that I was pregnant making my condition more high risk and felt more comfortable with a specialist, and would appreciate a share of record. They refused and I ultimately just had the specialist run additional tests. Subsequent,I was informed via a formal letter sent to me weeks later that I should see a new internist which I did. I have never experienced such lack of support and disregard for a team care approach through using specialists. I can?t speak to Dr. Santiago?s motives but to me it seemed that she was insulted that I wanted to see a specialist to oversee my care rather than continue to allow her to treat a specific condition.

OMG where do I even start? I can't even believe this woman is allowed to practice. I think NIGHTMARE pretty much sums it up. Disgusting office for starters. Unhelpful desk staff. Then to top it all off the Dr is just plain nasty and rude. Have you ever heard the joke "Somewhere in the world is the worst doctor and someone has an appointment with them tomorrow?" I think they must have been referring to her. This is the first time I've ever even done one of these types of reviews. Do yourself a favor and run the opposite direction. Go to a walk in. Go to the ER. Go to a vet! Anything but Dr Cynthia Santiago. If you weren't sick when you got there you will be when you leave. For more reasons than one!

This is a horrible doctor with poor bedside manners. She appears to care more about charging for multiple tests and lab work (some that are unnecessary) than about giving her patients the slightest time and attention. If a patient asks her questions, she seems bothered and acts as if her valuable time has been wasted. Meanwhile, I have spent more time waiting for her than she has ever spent with me one on one. Her office is located in an area that has been under construction for what seems like eternity, and so there has always been traffic on my commute there. The receptionists are for the most part indifferent or rude - just like the doctor. The doctor also charges for photocopies of all medical records, but refuses to fax any document to or on behalf of the patient. If you are looking for a caring doctor who would give you the time of day, don't go to this one.

My vitals were taken by the office nurse..then she turned around and told me she doest trust anyone...(i'm confused) This dr. does not practice being a primary care giver , and does the bare minimal . Instead she is stand offish, and has horrible table side manners. She is not professional by any means. Instead of treating the patient she interferes in other maters that are not her concern . She brought me to tears at my last examination because my blood pressure was high and then told me that she would hate to loose me as a patient.. ( I would hate to loose the great insurance payouts too) . She cause d a huge rift between by partner and I who was at the examination were we stopped talking to each other and we are separating. Thanks Doc!

Anytime I go to make an appointment the office says, "Because you haven't been here in awhile."Well I'm sorry I'm a healthy person. I do not care for Dr. Santiago's bedside manner and will be finding another doctor. She's not very friendly, was rude and made me very upset. Moving on.

I also have mixed feelings about this doctor. though I am somewhat dificult to convince to do the right things for my health,I sense she needs to see results on a peice of paper to draw conclusions as to the condition of your health instead of having a gut feeling as to your problem or maybe lack of experience. I also experienced poor bedside manner ---no sense of humor---which is why I also am looking for another doctor. Though I had no problem with the staff.

I had a wonderful experience with this Dr. and her staff. They were very accommodating and beyond nice. Every person in this office treated me like they truly care. I was with another Dr. for 15 year but since I got married recently, they do not accept my husband's insurance. I researched Dr.'s in the area and came across Dr. Santiago, who on other sites has a very good rating. I just got back from a physical with her and it was the most thorough exam that I have had within the past 15 years. They took a urine sample, gave me a hearing test, eye test, breathing test, drew blood, weight, height, blood pressure, temp., electrocardiogram. The Dr. asked me several questions about my overall health, checked my glands, stomach, heart. She gave me some free samples to help with some very minor stomach issues I experience, answered all my questions and concerns, and renewed my prescriptions. Loved the treatment I received and would definitely recommend this practice.

I do not want to state too much about my experience because I do not know what is acceptable to write about. But please believe me when I say that the secretary and doctor at this practice are extremely rude and unprofessional. After many years of going to this practice, I will NEVER go back. I was hung up on and spoken to in a way that you would never expect from a family practice doctor who you thought you trusted. I am extremely disappointed and advise you all to go elsewhere.

She has the WORST bedside manner. My Mother, a patient for 10 years called because she was in so much pain and she refused to see her. She was in the office on a saturday and seeing patients from 9-12 and refused to try and get my Mom in (even though she called a 9:18). The receptionist hung up on me and the doctor was even ruder. Terrible doctor. So disgusted.

Told me to eat Campbell soup everyday for lunch for my low blood pressure. I thought that was most unprofessional and totally off nutrition-wise. Never went back after that.
