The office staff has been very nice the few times I went in. Appointments are pretty easy to schedule and I've never had a terribly long wait. I have been a patient of Dr. Dickinsons for about a year. In the last 4 years I have been to see my PCP 5 times, 3 of those times have been with Dr. Dickinson (my old PCP closed an office and his other office was too far away to remain a patient). My first visit with Dr. Dickinson was required for me to join the practice and went great. The 2 times I went in with actual concerns Dr. Dickinson was very dismissive, spoke down to me, and was extremely arrogant including rolling his eyes TWICE while I was talking. Needless to say I am looking for a new doctor.

Staff is a mix of mediocre competence and just flat out incompetent. This doctor is arrogant and patronizing to his patients and medically lazy. I saw him for an annual physical and was concerned about leg swelling (I am not overweight) and he dismissed it breezily. Literally a week later I was in the ICU with a pulmonary embolism after bilateral DVTs in my legs had passed to my lungs. The man's a dangerous idiot--STAY AWAY.

Front office staff is clueless and rude. They speak to people as if they are a bother. Dr. Dickinson is so arrogant but has no right to be. Was misdiagnosed twice by him. Once could have been real serious - if I took his advice. Seems to think the worst in people, like they are All stupid and beneath him. I will not be going back. As far as the comments about Brookhaven...I don't see an issue. I received pretty good care from the other doctors and residents.

It took me a while to connect with him, but now that I did, I have to say I think Dr. Troy is a good doctor. The problem is as said before, you are dealing with a doctor that works for Brookhaven Hospital. This is not his practice, he just works there. I certainly wish he would branch out on his own, I do not like the staff at the desk, although the assistants are very good. One of the girls at the desk was impatient and rude. I will continue here because I am now comfortable with Dr. Troy.

The only problem I have here is that this is a training facility for medical students, and I feel that I am being used as a sample in the process. Their goal is to teach students how to diagnose and treat patients (and I am one of them) I don't feel that I am getting quality medical care here, and I am sad because I liked Dr. Dickinson, but he seems gung ho on "training" not "treating". Well, guess its time to move on then.

I get the feeling Dr.Dickinson does NOT want to be there. I think he is sorry he got involved with Brookhaven hospital due to so many complaints about the mismanagement of the place. I also think he preferred to remain as a training doctor and now he is back doing exams and seeing private patiets. I am sad because I think he is good but just works in a horrible office.

This practice exists SOLELY for the training of residents, NOT for patient care the way a proper private practice exists. Go elsewhere! Medical records here are poorly kept with frequent errors(inexcusable), and front staff is badly trained in terms of dealing with unhappy patients. Nursing staff is adequate but Dr. Dickenson, the head of the practice, is a mediocre doctor who is lazy and patronizing to many patients. He couldn't be bothered to perform a basic test when I showed up for a routine physical and a week later I was in the ICU as a direct result of his incompetence. This is NOT a good practice in any way, and the few other good doctors that ARE there should leave and start their own...

Only had good experiences at the office. Clean, punctual, Dr. D is always helpful. Can not relate to all of the negative comments. Takes care of my entire family. When you call for apt, just have to request him....never a problem if you do that !

I personally will never set foot back in this office again. I cannot begin to tell you how many mistakes they made with my mother's health care. This place is akin to health clinic somewhere in an area that cares for homeless people. What a nightmare. 3 weeks to get blood work results, a complaint to the office manager yielded nothing - not even a return call. I am going to complain about her to the administrator of Brookhaven.

I like Dr. Dickinson. I think he is a good doctor caught up in a poorly run medical mill and he has to play by their rules. Sadly for his patients, he cannot provide the quality of care that he used to do. Yes - the entire staff should be ousted - they are just so obviously hating that place and they make it known that they don't want to be bothered. How can a patient continue to go there with all the mishaps I just read here? My sister also had issues and called the office manager 3 times, who never ever returned her call or got on the phone. Well, unfortunately, I suspect that we will have to leave here and find someone else.
