I have had a good experience with Dr.Wells. He always listens to me and seems caring about my whole well being. He has listened to all my concerns regarding medications and has left decisions up to me as to whether or not they help or hurt or are needed. I have had to pay for missed appointments but that is pretty typical these days of all Doctors or hairstylists of massage therapists, anyone who gets paid for there time as well as their expertise. Oh, and I am female and have never felt patronized by Dr. Wells.

Whoever awarded this doctor with a degree should see a psychiatrist. He is very rude, controlling to a ridiculous amount, and he prescribed me medications that made me feel HORRIBLE. He will address missed appointments before any actual issues. Sits and talks about his life half the time, ignoring most things I say. I dreaded every second of time with him. He tried to keep me on medications that were creating major issues for me medically just because he hates to be told what to do. Not knowledgable about much except what he learned years ago. Don't settle for this guy....there are so many in other counties that can actually help and care.

Steer clear of this guy, especially if you are a woman. His whole attitude towards me from day one was "you're a crazy lady, so do what I tell you". When I complained that the medications he prescribed for me killed my libido, his reaction was "why do you need that? You don't have a boyfriend." He tried to dictate to me about major life choices when he saw me maybe once every two months for fifteen minutes, if that (if the doctor says to come back in six weeks, the practice, which is hopelessly oversubscribed for who-knows-what-reason, inevitably won't have another appointment for eight weeks). And no, I didn't ask for his opinion. He is especially dangerous as most of the medical community in Spartanburg seems to think he's god's gift to medicine- trust me, he isn't. He's just an ultra-conservative, patronizing, controlling man who should have been retired long ago, along with his 1950s ideas about women.

Worst doctor on the planet. Believe me I've been to enough. I've only seen him three times and his staff is awful, they don't know what they're doing?!!! Dr wells should not even have "Dr" in front of his name. He rudely told me I need to come to appointments I missed (2 appointments) when I was physically sick in the hospital and let him know !! Do NOT listen to a single good comment on this page. I am a great patient. I have dealt with a lot of crap in my life with doctors and have been respectful, but this "doctor" has put me through more HELL than anyone I know! I'm worse seeing him than I was without a doctor. Also a major issue is he doesn't pay attention to anything serious I bring up. He ignores what I say and asks obvious questions any idiot would know. Avoid this idiot at all costs!!! They will take your money and he's not even worth your time and well-being.

I DON'T KNOW *WHAT* EVERYONE ELSE IS TALKING ABOUT! Doctor Wells is AWESOME! He is not going to sit there and baby you and say any of that "well, how does that make you feeeeeel" crap! I love him. He is excellent. I've been seeing him for over a year now. I totally enjoy my visits with him, and even when I lost my job and insurance, I still continue to see him instead of finding someone cheaper. I give him 100 out of 100. He is no nonsense, no BS, just a great Doc. If you want someone to treat you like you are 5, then he is not for you. If you want someone who will be strait up and honest with you, this is your man.

DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR! Beware...he is mean, short with you, and even gives the wrong dx's. I have since seen another psychiatrist who was amazed at the diagnosis Dr. Wells gave me. Now I am stable thanks to my new Doc. He makes you feel very beneath him in that he is superior to you and you can get better on your own! Please avoid this doctor if at all possible. Thanks!

Dr. Wells' staff are living in the Dark Ages. Dr. Wells himself is very smart and knowledgeable, it's unfortunate that he is not good with people. He is very brusqe allows his councelors to do most of the work. He could do better by explaining to patients about their treatment more, however he seems to believe that is beneath him.

Counselor, Kevin Lynch is very easy going and easy to talk to. I found Dr. Wells to be deragatory, short, interruptive and most interested in "just getting through". Front office very unfriendly. Communication between patient and staff non existant. Office in severe need of updating.
