My daughter had seen 3 psychiatrists and we were feeling helpless. Her anxiety and OCD symptoms were completely overwhelming. We were referred to Dr Punwani by our pediatrician. The situation was quite critical. She responded quickly, came in on her day off to meet with us. My daughter felt connected to her. She spent time alone talking to my daughter for a good hour. Then met with us, listened to us, supported us as we talked and educated us using a 3 D brain program about the brain and how anxiety and OCD worked. We discussed treatment and left feeling heard, supported and trusted her right away. Now here we are 2 months ago with gratitude for this wonderful physician and even better human. Her kindness, support and easy availability has been a blessing. Our daughter is much better. Dr Punwani connected with school and even helped in educating our son about his sisters diagnosis. Thank you Dr Punwani.

Excellent bedside manners and diagnostic skills. Very easily available if in crisis. Has good knowledge of medications and what I like the most is she will educate about diagnosis and medications and very clear about side effects. She integrated some holistic strategies in treatment. Our son is doing very well. She even helped us get resources from school. We are deeply grateful.

When i was a child, Dr.punwani was my physician for my psychological needs. Not only did she give me YEARS of misdiagnoses, prescribed the wrong medications. When behaviors and moods changed, instead of trying to find another test or diagnoses, she increased the medication. My mother, a physician herself knew there was something more. Flew myself to Texas where it was found that I had A brain cyst, not anything near what Dr.Punwani thought it was. The lack of empathy, or compassion is horrible. After years and years of the wrong treatments and treatment plans I finally Found out notning was that wrong with me like she made it out to believe. If she would have taken the time to actually try and run every test or listen to the patient and their family it would of saved me years of pain and my mothers pain and tears.

Knows what she uses well. What she has not used or rarely uses does not know but doesn't try to fake it either. Her breadth of knowledge does seem limited, probably due to su,h a small practice and a perhaps not a very progressive education. She is very nice, listens I think. She scribbles so much, sometimes I don't know how carefully she listens. She is helpful within in the scope of her office but don't expect her to help you find resources in Springfield even if you are new there, she doesn't care about anything but how you are doing on your meds. Her definition of how you are doing on your meds. Once you understand that, you'll do fine. Maybe graduate to 6 month visits.
