Terrible bedside manner. During my first appointment, all she wanted to do was harrass me about my weight. Not a good first impression. I will be going to somebody else.

I have used Mrs. Collier for both of my pregnancies and currently use her for my third. I would not recommend anyone else. She is so knowledgeable and competent and you really feel like she's got your back during delivery (who wouldn't want that??). I'm so thankful to have found her for my pregnancies and recommend her to any and everyone who is pregnant and looking.

I had a bad experience with my first pregnancy and decided I didn't want an OB for my second pregnancy. When I found Mrs Collier I told her I wanted to do a vbac and she supported my decision the whole pregnancy. I was diagnosed with gallstones early in my pregnancy and dropped over 10 pounds in two weeks. Mrs. Collier assured me that the baby was still growing fine and not to worry about my weight loss. My four year old comes with me too all the visits and she encourages him to engage with little things like adding the gel and pushing the button to release the measurement tape. I am beyond grateful for her service and would recommend her to anyone looking for a midwife. The staff are also friendly, they work around my husband's Navy schedule so he can be with me for the check ups.

If you can't have a home birth, Patricia is about as naturally minded as they come in a hospital setting. She was very kind and helpful. She is amazing with children. She takes the time to answer all of your questions and makes you feel at ease. I wish she was slightly warmer during delivery but she's highly competent and makes you feel that way too and in my opinion that's way more important.

I am about mid-way through my first pregnancy, so finding the right practitioner was really important to me. I was referred to Ms. Collier by my OBGYN, and couldn't be happier. She has been friendly, helpful, informative, and I am really looking forward to delivering with her in March. I couldn't be happier!

I used Ms. Collier w/ my second pregnancy after having such a wonderful experience with a widwife on my first. Big mistake, I should have drove to VB and used my previous widwife. She had a horrible bed side manner and for being a widwife I didn't feel she was there for me at all during the labor process...heck, I might as well have used a grumpy old doc who just wants to get it over with and collect a paycheck! My husband (a firefighter/ paramedic who has delivered numerous babies in the field) wasn't even allowed to catch our baby! All I can say is that when you've had a REAL widwife, you can really notice all of the areas where Ms. Collier lacks!

I elected to go with Mrs. Collier halfway through my 3rd pregnancy after moving to Virginia from Georgia even though she is a midwife and I had had 2 previous c-sections. (I had seen her years ago as a teenager, and liked her very much.)I found her to be nice some visits and others I felt as if I was a nuisance. She was very firm on not having a VBAC after 2 c-sections.
