He's abusive to patients. Her can't manage his time and is constantly running over an hour behind scheduled appointments. We will never go back and advise everyone to see someone else.

Stay away! Maybe we can force the old bird into retirement as he is a DANGER to the community. I was in refractory pain ( a vital sign ) and all he could say ' it was my personality causing the pain! Thankfully I found a Dr in Phoenix whom discovered I had a life threatening chronic illness. Shameful the way I was treated. If you have any enemies whom ask you for a local Dr.,...send them to Ridge. Sad and dangerous account of their medical practice.

I had an appointment today at 2:00 pm. I walked in the door to sign in and give the receptionist my insurance information. Well, I was treated like a second class person because they did not take my insurance. The two receptionists immediately took an attitude with me because I had Humana. I was informed very unkindly that they did not take my insurance. They asked me if I wanted to see a person in billing. I said no I have insurance. I got home immediately called Humana and they informed me that yes they were "in-network". To make a long story short finally found out that they did not take Humana. I filed a grievance with Humana. The person I spoke with at Humana said the same thing that I did that he was treated rudely. How do these receptionists, by the way, we as patients pay their wages through the insurance companies and if no insurance pay monies. So how do these people keep their jobs if they treat other patients the same way they treated me. I was never felt like I was welcomed because of my insurance. Right away they made a judgement and it was poorly handled. So I never got to see the dr I was suppose to see. I am 71 years old and to be treated this way someone or both of them should be fired. That is my own opinion. I really hate to see how they treat other patients who do have insurance. I know their job is tough. But I was always taught treat people like you wanted to be treated as a consumer. I am personally going to write a letter to Dr. Paul Ridge.

Discharged mom from hospital (he covered for her own MD), discontinued all her heart, blood pressure, fluid retention meds) which would have killed her if we hadn't caught it and had the orders rectified. She was treated for cellulitis with IV antibiotics and he assumed she was dying anyway. She recovered, no thanks to him. He also ordered 2 prescriptions for the same oral antibiotic; the nurse caught that and discarded one of them. He talked loudly, was offensive ( made racist reference to "pickaninies". ) He was patronizing to mom and me, joked loudly with her visitors, full of himself. unprofessional attitude and demeanor. Our nurse thought he was completely out of line as well. When I told a neighbor about him, he said he'd gone to see him once and refused to go back.
