Rude, and condescending. Does not listen, or care about your pain.

I consulted Dr. Fischer after receiving a somewhat concerning treatment plan from a hand specialist. I then researched other surgeons, I found Dr. Fischer and quickly arranged an appointment. We discussed my symptoms and he then fully explained the alternatives for relief. Dr. Fischer explained the point at which I would require surgery, what it would entail, the recovery period. I felt reassured by Dr. Fischer’s caring attitude, full explanation of the nature of my condition and what and when to expect the condition to worsen to the point where surgery might be needed. Dr. Fischer is straight forward, friendly, thorough and reassuring. I would highly recommend him to family and friends.

On 12/22/16 I had percuntaneous trigger finger surgery by Dr. Fischer. He said the success rate was 99%. I was the 1% and my finger was a lot worse after the surgery. Extremely tender as it still is today on 2/8/17. I called the office to let him know what my problem was and asked the office to have him call me. Yes, he was on vacation from 12/23/16 to 1/4/17 but he never called even though I was still in pain.. Called the office 3 times. NEVER called me even after he came back. Totally irresponsible and shows a lack of compassion for his patients. You choose him at your own risk. Mel Greenblatt

the quality of care and professionalism, along with just a general genuine caring about his patients is astounding. dr. fischer and his associates at the summit surgery center are to be commended. they treated my husband with kindness and dignity not often seen lately. if an orthopedic surgeon is called for at any time, i would recomend this doctor above all others in nj. plus, he's just a GENERAL SWEETY, but then again i may be prejudiced, he alone was able to fix my husband after going thru what seemed like an endless maze of so called health care professionals, especially in the horror of workers compensation in this state !!!
