When I was DX with Breast Cancer, Dr. Turk was my surgeon. Simply put, he is a caring and excellent doctor.

I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer Dec 15 2016. Out of 3 surgeons no one could give me an appt. until January 4..... I was put on a waitlist and prayed. Dr Turks office called me the next morning and asked If I could come that afternoon which I did. I was able to bring my sister with me who iwas an oncology nurse. He took his time and explained everything in great detail my scenario and my options. I decided for a bi-lateral mastectomy. I felt confident with he as my surgeon. This past spring he removed my gallbladder. He is an excellent surgeon and I’ve recommended him many times

Dr Turk is excellent. I can’t say enough good things about him. The scheduling personfrom his office, on the other hand, was downright rude and not very helpful. Once you get past her, the rest of the staff is great.

I have never left a bad review for a doctor. This is my first time and I feel the need to let others know. I was referred to Dr. Turk to get a lump in my breast removed. He told me that he doesn't want to surgically remove it without giving me a reason, instead he ordered an MRI, even though I had already a diagnostic mammogram and biopsy done. I told him that I can only get this done if it is covered by my insurance. He assured me that his staff will make sure first that I am, before sending me over to the hospital to get this done. As a lady called me to schedule an appointment, I asked again if I am covered and she also told me that my insurance approved it. Anyways, weeks later after my MRI, I got a bill of $2500 to pay out of my own pocket. I was shocked , this put a huge financial burden on me! I fought for months to get this bill at least reduced without any success. I was desperate and called Dr. Turks office. I left a message asking him to give me a call back. He called me back that night at 8pm and as soon as he heard that it was regarding the MRI bill, he started YELLING at me!! I have never ever experienced that before!! WHICH doctor treats his patients like that? He yelled at me that it is 8pm and he had a long day at work and no interest to talk about a bill. I told him that first of all he is very rude to his patient and second I never asked him to call me back at night. If he had such a long day and was tired, he could have called me back the next day.
By now, the lump in my breast got bigger and the lymphs in my armpit are swollen. I got referred to a different surgeon now. If this turns out to be cancer, I am going to sue Dr. Turk! He refused to surgically remove it and thanks to him I had for months lots of stress with this bill . In addition, I got a huge financial burden now.
I will NOT to ANYONE recommend this doctor!

Great doctor! Diagnosis is correct. Surgery went very well. Scar on the breast is almost invisible. It's been almost 2 years since the surgery - no complications.

Incredible! A man of few words and low-key, but very skilled and a caring Christian. Has performed two cancer-related surgeries on me, with scars barely visible. Would let him remove my head and sew it back! Anyone with breast cancer seeking a surgeon should look no further -- he's the best in Charlotte!
