Dr. Amador is an Amazing Primary Care Physician. She is invested in you and your life. She challenges you to stay healthy, and genuinely cares about her patients. She has helped me at my lowest to get back on track. Championed my successes, and keeps me even keeled.

Dr. Amador has saved my life twice in the last 9 years and I cannot say enough good about her. I was seeing another doctor at Smoky Hill Family Medicine and when he left my care was turned over to Dr. Amador. I am ever so grateful. She digs into everything and really does care about the well being of her patients. 9 years ago, I was very resistant to going for a mammogram. She advised me that she would not renew my meds if I did not go. I was diagnosed with breast cancer at that time. If she hadn't pushed me I would not have gone and might not be around now. She has personally called me at home to see how things are going when something is not going as planned. She is very high energy and I wish I had as much energy in my body as she does in her little finger.

I preface this review by stating that I am an open-minded, easy going person and try to work with people who help me rather than be combative with them especially when it comes to my health. That being said, I tried Dr. Amador based on the positive reviews from this site and one other, but I did not find her to be the doctor that I was looking for. While she is nice, she was always rushing back and forth between patients (kind of gave me a sense of anxiety) and I felt I really couldn't talk to her about items of concern. Due to some digestive issues I was experiencing, she nonchalantly recommended seeing a surgeon right away without exploring other options for my condition. I was the one to suggest seeing a specialist who verified that I did not need the surgery as long as I had kept to certain dietary restrictions. Before I saw the specialist on my own accord, I tried to work with her for alternatives to the surgery, and because of the aforementioned busy nature of her practice, she would just tell her nurse assistant to tell me things over the phone and phone messages, which basically ended up with me asking more questions and then the nurse telling me that Dr. Amador thought that I should try another doctor if I didn't want to follow her surgical plan. Yikes! As I had written previously, I was not combative/difficult in the least and the whole ordeal just left me feeling saddened that she just wanted to cut me loose rather than help. I guess if you're healthy enough to see the doctor occasionally, then she may have time for you. However, if you're looking for someone who will think outside the box, then like she said in her words, you might want to look for another physician.

VERY BAD! experience with the staff my appointment time was at 9:30 because I didn't show up @9 staff said the Doc wouldn't see us turned away😡After time I confirmed with staff that appointment time was 9:30 and it's now 9:26 Saff stated all new appointments should show up 30min early. I was never informed of this We were rudely turned away 😡Time from work wasted

Dr. Amador is wonderful. She has been my primary physician for 8 years now. She has listened to me and worked with me in all areas of my health.

Dr. Amador is AMAZING! I have been going to her for about 3 years now and I have never had one complaint. The office staff is wonderful and the DR is very attentive. She makes sure to touch base with me when I have something important going on. She does take time out to personally give me a call instead of sending messages through nurses or MA's. I have also spoken with Amy in the office and she is a doll. I definitely recommend the entire office, they are all wonderful!

I am a registered nurse and RN's know all of the doctors in our area! I have chosen Dr Amador as my primary care physican for 8 years because she is the best of the best! She is very responsive both during your office visit and following up after your appointment. She is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The best thing about her is that she takes the time to explain your condition in language you can understand and then provides resources for further information.

I have been taking my family to Dr. Amador for a few years now and I have no complaints. She is really good and I especially love the way she treats my kids. She remembers little details about them and you can tell that she genuinely likes children. I love the office staff and have also seen another PA at the Smoky Hill Family medicine practice, Amy, who is also excellent. Overall I would recommend them to anyone and actually enjoy going (well..as much as it's possible to enjoy a dr's visit) because they remember me and my family when we go and take a genuine interest in our health and well being.
