Sadly, I'd love to give a rave review, but cannot. I pay a 25.00 CASH (only accepts) copay for an injury. I get 3 scripts for meds, am told the front desk will print off a care sheet (no instruction from the Dr.) and an order for an xray. No follow up appts, nothing. I don't know what the meds do, didn't even know what they were for. I was told something for pain. I do the xray and the next day, the Dr. office wants another copay to wait 45 minutes to read a report that's already been completed by the xray tech. They refuse to do it over the phone and won't contact you if they aren't concerned about any findings. Don't we make an initial appt to get a DX and complete care for that particular issue? NOPE! Not to mention, the wait time in rooms is approx 45 minutes and longer. Even a request for a call from the Dr. was negated by office staff. They refused to ask him to call me and said I needed to make an appt to talk to the Dr. I didn't realize he was such a celebrity that a five minute phone call (even less) is not possible.
My Pharmacy will send in my routine med refills and never get a response. Mine sent a fax five times and nothing. They don't take digital fax, BTW. They are still dinosaurs in the office. lol. Once I figured out what's happening, apparently, the pharmacy knows I need an appointment but, there was no mention while I was standing in front of the doctor nor when I called to see what was happening with the refill fax sent 5 times. They are somewhat kind but, not helpful at all. If you mention you're going to another Dr. , just know it's 1.00 for the 1st 25 pages of your medical record and .25 each page after. This is ridiculous. Seeking a better doctor. This one pushes meds and about 5 minutes total time advising - I've even had to reschedule because I had to sit in a room for an hour and a half. I've tried to like this office for about 2 years. So far, I'm not impressed or satisfied with any of the care thus far. If you aren't familiar with your rx timings, you should be. They don't keep up on when refills are needed or appts. I had to ask for a blood test for my 6 month A1-C. I was specifically told, "it is your responsibility to know when you need refills to book an appt and get labs." I know my meds. I know when they need to be refilled. But, when they tell my pharmacy I need an appt when I was on the phone with them five minutes prior, that's just not ok. I'm not sure what the struggle is with this office. I've run front and back office in very busy practices and never had anything like this happen before.

My husband and I are very pleased with Dr. Canton. He is patient, has a mild manner and good sense of humor. When his staff says they will call, they call.

Dr Canton and his staff are great!
I wouldn't go anywhere else!
Only complaint is the wait time. Plan on being there for about 2 hours

Ihave been a patient of Dr. Canton's for 12 years.....I adore him. I don't care about piddly gossip by petty people.....just because he has Dr. infront of his name, doesn't mean he isn't human.....my issue is communication between him and his office stafff......I like them, but have had many run arounds and foul ups with them........my biggest gripe is their new policy of not phoning in any scripts if he hasn't seen you in a week. 7 days. Who on earth can afford $125.00 each week to see their doctor????????? I am self pay. I receive a monthly check. 30 days is reasonable.......but 7???????? Really??????? Particularly for patients who have chronic problems, which I do. I don't want to change doctors. He has been nothing but kind to me. But his office staff need to get it together. Only my opinion.

I have not had any issues with Dr Canton personally. I have had issues with his staff and they are all aware of my concerns. Dr Canton has really listened to me on my problems and what works best for me on any type of Rx. I just have to say that if anybody is going to have a problem dealing with this Dr just because of a situation that occurred more than 12 years ago then you people are total morons. His personal situation had NOTHING to do with his way of treating his patients. Look at what problematic people you have in your life and get rid of them as well if they ever did anything wrong. Dr Canton is awesome and has helped me tremendously, more so than any other Dr I have been to. Any negative issues you have against him should be brought to his attention and please make sure you at least look smart when complaining. You really should learn to spell and/or make your sentences understandable when trying to make someone else look bad.

He's a nice and likable doctor. They over book in office and wait time is very long. He does have a criminal charges in his background. Some shady business about his car being stolen when he really had it towed under another name and reported it stolen. And fraud in reference to an insurance claim for damage to a bone density testing machine in his office. Ethics, when it comes to insurance is not his strong point.

I recently became a patient of Dr Cantons and my experience was great. His staff really worked with me in scheduling an appointment around my chaotic schedule and answered all my questions thoroughly. He made sure he addressed all my health issues by recapping my concerns at the end of my appointment. He also took a in depth look at my medical history to treat me properly. As of today my issues have all been resolved and my over all health has improved greatly because of him. I recommend him to all my friends and family. Five stars across the board.
