He stripped my cervix while I was only 3-4 mths pregnant. I think he tried to induce a miscarriage. I was a young woman and didn't know any better at the time. I never went back to him again and got a new doctor. If I knew what I knew now, I would've sued him or something. That was 19 years ago. He scared me. I felt traumatized. I still feel violated to this day. Im so thankful I carried to full term and have a wonderful 19 yr old son now.
I heard he lost his Canadian Dr practicing privileges many years ago, but then he returned to chatham ago so maybe it was rumour.

I wouldn't have my dog seen by this guy. Exceptionally poor bedside manner and just down right bizzare in his interactions. Clearly limited knowledge of supporting people with mental health issues to the point that he suggested not refilling a prescription for a SSRI medication which could have caused severe consequences. He was more interested in lecturing on the corruption of the big drug companies and doctors who are bribed to prescribe their products. With lecture time reduced he could probably see more than the 3 patient an hour pace I experienced. Time to retire better to have a shortage than someone causing additional need for services.

I moved back to Chatham after University and had a really bad infection went to the clinic and was treated by Dr. Bernreuter. it was the WORST most unprofessional experience EVER! He accused me of being a drug addict simply based on appearance (if course I looked awful, I’m SICK!!) and ridiculed me for living at home with my parents while searching for employment. If he is the physician on duty I HIGHLY recommend going elsewhere!

DR Bernreuter was the absolute worst physician I have ever delt with. He has NO bedside manner. He was extremely rude and made offesive jokes in my presence. I had to be seen in the walk in clinic with my 3 month old who as a result of taking ATB had thrush. He was rough when inspecting her oral cavity. He interogated me as to whether she was my first child and continued to belittle me about my choice to bottle feed as opposed to breastfeeding. He had no clue what medication was used to treat thrush being a nurse myself he asked me what should be prescribed. He later went on to tell me that at 3 months of age my daughter should not be 13 lbs he not in so many words told me she was fat and that physicians are trying to crack down on obesity. I would not recommend this MD to anyone. In regards to above ratings yes CK does desperatly need physician but we can do without ignorant egocentrical physician like this!!!!!

did an internal when i was 15 and had been raped and was pregnant, he hurt me so bad i could barely walk for days and thought i would miscarry. my parent switched docs, but we never complained. then he got in trouble for something and went back to the usa or something. he had an affair with his receptionist as well. not sure if thats what he got in trouble for. another patients husband complained that this dr. hurt his wife too. DO NOT GO TO! go to the hospital instead if he's working. Dr. Evans receptionist makes you wait hours, but has her favourites go before you. Cant fire her though, Dr. Evans loves her and also owns the non hospital privilege (wonder why) clinic.

too rough physically, but info from doctor was accurate and straight to the point. receptionist picks & chooses her favourites or who she wants to go first, its not in order of first serve, and its also not in order of severity. so what is the order???????

Absolutely the worst doctor i have ever, EVER visited. I moved from out of town and asked him to refill my acne medication and he never even heard of minocin(antibiotic for acne) or tretenoin cream(for acne)...he made stupid jokes that i found offensive and i think this 30's era doctor should take his out-of-date personality to the retirement board.

I found him to be a wonderful doctor knowledge wise, abit eccentric but still good at what he does. He takes his time to run the clinic which is a outstanding deed.
