I visited Dr. Bernreuter with my 6 month old daughter who had been suffering from persistent coughing and congestion for several days. I was made to feel like I was wasting his time and was simply an older over dramatic mother. I was asked my age and if this was my first child. Completely irrelevant to our appointment. His sense of humour in asking these questions, or lack there of in my opinion, did nothing to impress me. In fact,I asked if we should leave as we seemed to be wasting his time before he even assessed her. He then checked her back for congestion, ears for infection, and temperature. All were fine at the time. His medical skills may not be lacking in this instance, but he could certainly work on his bedside manner. I wasn't looking for his personal thoughts and opinions about my choice for bringing my daughter to see a medical professional.
