First of all, when I was referred to this doctor I had a telephone consult with his fellow (unsure of name). It was long and thought at the time it was thorough. Was told I would hear back in 1-2 weeks with a scope date and would be immediately consulted to a dietician to help with my symptoms, and if I got worse in the mean time to call the office. 3 weeks later, after hearing nothing and having any symptoms get significantly worse, I called the receptionist and could not get through, left multiple messages. When I finally heard back she said I would have to go through my non-existent family doctor to have a new referral and there was nothing she could do. I was currently a patient of theirs. After multiple phone calls to her I got a phone appt 1.5 months later with dr peltekian, only to find out my entire file from that appt was lost, I was never referred to anyone or placed on a scope list. Dr Peltekian apologized. I had a scope a few weeks later, was told I would hear about the biopsy results in 2-3 weeks. 1 month later I called to ask about biopsy results and was told they were sent to my NON-EXISTENT family doctor. They eventually had a phone call appt with me to discuss the biopsy, where I was told it “wasn’t cancer so not to worry.” I asked what it was and how I was to deal with the symptoms and he said “It’s not cancer I don’t know what you mean”. Extremely frustrated with this I believed I was to live with my symptoms. 7 months later I have a family doctor, she was appalled that I wasn’t told the scope showed I have ulcerative colitis, not medicated or followed up with. I am now being referred to a different GI doctor to start all over.

Very condescending and had little care in my case at all. I don’t know why we have to put up with this at all.

I've been seeing Dr P for almost a decade. Every appointment has been fantastic. Besides the typical health stuff, which he has always been been amazing with, he has fantastic bedside manor, he legitimately about the entire well being of his patients and their family. He always asks how my wife are daughter are doing. When I was going through the transplant process my family was as important to him as I was. And Susan, his NP, is such a sweet heart. They are both kind, understanding, and works with their patients to find answers and the best care.

Don’t waste your time with this Doctor he is rude, condescending and won’t answer questions. He orders tests and doesn’t even look at the results because he forms judgements based on pre conceived notions and his own arrogance rather than proper diagnostic testing. His NP is just as bad. Save yourself the aggravation and go to a younger open minded Doctor who actually cares about patients.

I have the utmost respect for him. He was kind, caring and informative on my disease. We need more like him. I feel so relieved when I talk to him about my illness and he always has my best interest in mind. Trying to help me with new drugs on the market and anything else that is needed

I have been a patient of Dr. Peltekian for over 25 years. He has always treated me with care and concern for my autoimmune Hepatitis. He keeps a close watch on me and I feel I can called him if I have a problem and he will get back to me. We need more doctors like him, that are dedicated to his profession and his patients. I will miss him when he retires and who ever takes over for him has big shoes to fill. A kind, gentle, concerned doctor.

Dr. Peltekian has performed two endoscopies on me to date. He has always been very thorough in his explanations and is very calm and gentle with his care.

I was very happy with Dr. Peltekian . He was kind, professional and attentive. He explained my procedure thoroughly and answered any and all of my questions. I would recommend him and i would feel very comfortable going to him again for any issues.
