The Dr and staff seem to do a good job but my experience has shown the office is mostly concerned with making $. There is nothing wrong with this but when you do not disclose the full story to your patients that is when I have an issue and will take my business elsewhere. Recently they told my wife that our insurance, Aetna, was terrible. She was embarrassed, paid and left. We had just changed our insurance and I did some research and found that Dr Rubin is an "In- Network" dentist for nobody and confirmed this with his office. Their comments about Aetna being terrible isnt a fact it is a justification they are using to rationalize customers paying more (not sure why this app says they take Aetna, they don't take anyone they will file it but you pay 100% at Dr Rubins office. Now I am questioning the work that is "required" for my kids teeth or is it about sales. They are friendly but there is a huge premium you pay here for care that is readily available elsewhere in Frisco.

Dr.Rubin is horrible with kids specially when filling a cavity, the assistants will use a super big sensor for xrays in their tiny mouths. I will never return to this office ! All they want is your money.

This dentist Dr Paul Rubin is horrible with children, he helped his assistant take x-rays of my 3 year old. He shoved the film in her mouth straight on and held her down as she was screaming No More No More. He left nail imprints on her little cheeks. :-(. My 7 year old son also had a cap put on two teeth, I waited out of the room they really gave me the impression that they don't care for you to be in the room with your child. He had a horrible time with Dr. Rubin. He told my seven year old that this can be easy and take 5 minutes or hard and take 20 minutes. My son was screaming horribly and being very comforted at all as you would expect from a pediatric dentist. Turns out my son could see everything that was happining to him through the drs glasses, he stated to me it was like a mirror. Never again! Beware Trust must be earned not demanded!!!!

Bedside manner with children was less than desirable. I once witnessed him being very rude to another child patient and was surprised that he would be that way as he was seamingly very charming. I later ran into someone who worked at his office and they just smiled and said they were not surprised.

I will NEVER return here. My 19 month old son was treated roughly by the Dr and the dental hygienist. Dr. Rubin appeared rushed and careless during his visit. My son sat still and cried softly while Dr. Rubin treated his gums and teeth worse than any dentist has ever treated mine as an adult. The facility is beautiful and beyond "kid friendly", but every kid I saw was crying and unhappy after their appointment. The receptionist are wonderful, but as soon as you get back, you deal with rude/rushed people. I was almost in tears when we left. Recently, I adopted my baby through the state of Dallas. For the first 6 months he has Medicaid, after you can add him to your insurance (which I did). They had a separate (insulting and degrading form for those with Medicaid to sign with asking you to do basic things that should be asked of everyone, "arrive on time""Turn off your phone". I was insulted. I adopted. I shouldn't be treated second class. No one should.

Dr Rubin and his staff are wonderful! Both my children have been seeing him for five years now. My daughter thought at one time she wanted to go to a female dentist. After going to other dentists in the area, she wanted to go back to Dr. Rubin. My son is a very difficult patient due to having a sentitive gag reflex and small mouth. Dr. Rubin and his staff are always professional, patient, and kind. I would highly recommend Dr. Rubin as a pediatric dentist in the area!

My son had a terrible experience getting his first cavity filled. Was upset up days. My son's exact words that Dr. Rubin pediatric dentist said to him were "Stop crying", "Only 4 year olds cry", "Be Quiet". My son told him it was hurting while drilling...Dr. Rubin did nothing but continue his work. I called the office twice about this. Spoke with office, however, he never called me back to discuss with me. As I sat in waiting area I saw another child come out from his appt clearly upset, swollen red eyes, and trying to catch his breath from crying. Never going back there again. His website quotes his words "“I intend to run my practice and treat my patients in a manner in which I want my own kids to be treated,”.

My daughter came in for the second time today to fill her cavities on the opposite side than the week before. She seemed to do really well the last time so I decided to let her go by herself again. She is 3 by the way. I told the nurse all I ask is that if she gets upset please come and get me. No problem she said. Well about an hour later, the doctor brings her out, ,she is finished, and he told me she did fine in the beginning but when we olnly had 2 left she through a temper tantrum and we had to hold her down. I told him at that point you should of come and got me. There was no reason she had to be held down, she was scared. He told me he couldnt stop and come and get me. Where was his assistants, couldn't one of them had come and got me??? They broke my trust BIG TIME, and because of that I will not go back there.

Dr. Rubin and his staff are great with kids! One of my kids had a dental emergency while we were on vaction and Dr. Rubin helped us find a dentist and consulted with him to make sure our child got the best care...he also personally called to check on my son a week later to make sure everything was ok. I would highly recommend him!!
