I have been seeing Doc La Cava for perhaps 15 years for diabetes. I consider Dr LaCava as the best physician I have. He personally follows up with me, always has time for me to discuss my diabetes and has made a difference in my life. I could not give anyone a higher rating. He has always been there when a problem has occurred, low blood sugar, high -blood sugar, and has called the next day to even check up to make sure I'm doing better. Never have had to wait corrects my levels on my monitor each and every time.

I have been seeing Doc La Cava for perhaps 10 years for diabetes. Never had an issue with him. NEVER had to wait for my appt time more than 15-20 minutes. Bottom line with diabetes? Eat right - the A1C does not lie. Lose weight. Exercise. If you stay fat and do not eat right and exercise, meds are your only choice. Diabetes is an insidious bugger. It will steal a piece of you at a time until its all gone. Try harder and be well - until there IS a cure. Peace out.

I'm yet another discontented patient of La Cava. Based on his assembly-line approach, it's my impression that Dr. La Cava, Edward is more concerned about making money than tending to patient health or improvement. He even dictated chart notes during my actual office visit for which I'm billed! For years he's been doing the same 3-point check, as if I were a car or some mechanical object. Despite my health condition being treatable, he has continually focused on "management & keeping things in check" rather than a cure. For example, he gives me kudos even though I'm clearly overweight & my test results are below ideal! Of course, if he genuinely helped me recover with a clear strategy & goals, he'll not have a paycheck, so there is indeed a conflict of interest & he's milking it for his benefit all he can! Unfortunately, he's is PPO with my insurance.

Arrogant and dismissive even after years of being his patient (which I no longer am). Wait time usually 1-1.5 hrs and would take personal phone calls during your exam time. Didn't feel like you ever had his full attention or he paid attention to details of my condition. Staff attitude can be indifferent and rude.

This poor doctor has the WORST and most awful staff ever encountered. As a result of the rude lady I went to a new endo. I am in awe and Dr. LaCava needs to see who is representing him upfront. Never have I ever encountered such an individual.

I felt this doctor was dismissive and condescending. I am overweight - I have a terminally ill child - and was crying in his office because of the stress I was under. One of his comments was to 'stop eating cheeseburgers.' I would not recommend him.

I went to him for Diabetes, he would consistently forget I had diabetes. One visit he said, "You don't have diabetes do you?" I told him of my concern that I don't sleep well, He asked me if I was married, I answered in the affirmative, he said sex is good for sleep. I have been sexually active long enough to know whether or not sex aids in my sleeping. I found this unprofessional, insensitive, inappropriate, and offensive. This dr. is CONSISTENTLY 1 to 1 and a half hours late. I live 5 minutes away and a visit to him always took 2 hours. I saw him for about two years then after the offensive remark I found someone else.

I saw him for many years, always very friendly and personal. Yet, he got very inappropriate with me! said something very suggestive, no wonder I never saw a nurse for anything.
