This physician had a very clear lack of interest in my condition and spent less than two minutes discussing my issues with me. He was very good at reciting what I had previously informed the PA - but asked no further questions and quickly excused himself from the examination room, explaining that nothing more could be done. Meanwhile, I await my next painful episode.

Dr. Fuller was real, easy to understand, and never complained when asked to explain something again. Had my full thorasic fusion over 3 years ago, and still able to function and work way better than before. He was a miracle for me, and I'd do it over again in a heart beat.

More so than other physicians in his group, Dr. Fuller presents himself as caring and willing to listen. Although he has great research credentials, he treats patients as people, not as research projects. On the other hand, spine surgery is what he does for a living, and naturally enough he underrates the risks of this major surgery. And like many orthopedic spine surgeons, he pooh-poos the benefits of nonsurgical interventions such as physical therapy. Spend some time at the library, get a second opinion from a neurosurgeon or physiatrist; then if surgery is really needed, trust yourself to Dr. Fuller.

Rude and unhelpful. Blamed problems on other things without assisting with current pain. Very unprofessional.
