Dr Brophys assistant made sure I had everything I needed for before and after seeing the doctor and even during. Offted to give me information about the Flu and Shingles vaccine when I seemed hesatent on getting them and my whole visit she had a smile on her face which really helps my comfert. Dr Brophys assistant is a Good "right hand man" for her. I'll never look for Another doctor

She takes the time you need, very thorough, listens to your concerns, opinions and requests. Very open minded. Because she's such a good and caring doctor, she has a large patient load and the waiting time to be seen can often be long, sometimes very long. But when you see her, she spends as much time as necessary with you. She is a great doctor, woman and human being.

I love Dr. Brophy and agree that she is the most attentive and thorough dr. I've seen. I am surprised w/the comment that she wouldn't help a patient. That seems strange and uncharacteristic of her. Agree that her front office staff can be rude and I personally don't like dealing with them. If you're friends w/them, they are nice to you. If you're "just" a patient, you can be ignored. There is a long wait but am willing to wait for Dr. Brophy and deal w/her not so nice staff. She's that good. You will never feel rushed. She really listens to your concerns and has no problems writing referrals if she can't help you. I highly recommend her.

Excellent, caring doctor. Spends quality time with patient. She is an active "health nut." (runs, bikes) Open to natural or non-subscription suggestions. I've been her patient for the last 5 of my 75+ years. She's the best I've seen. Expect long office wait for "appointment" - bring a book.

She got me hooked on percocet, and when i wanted of off it, she would not help me. She told me she was just a family doc and could not help me with withdraweland sent me to the ER. I have seen been unable to get an appt or a return call from her.

Love her, been my doctor forever, you have to wait a bit, but it is so worth it b/c she actually listens to you and doesn't push you out the door like so many other doctors. She is great, can't say enough good things.

Dr. Brophy has been my doctor for over 5 years and she is great! Sometimes I get impatient waiting, but she takes her time and may be in there with me for 30 minutes or more. She doesn't hesitate to order tests, she listens carefully, is very approachable, a nice person and follows up on all medical complaints. Dr. Brophy seems concerned about her patients. She has always been very thorough with me. I have never had any problems with the staff at the office and they have always been pleasant to me. My phone messages are given to her assistant the same day and I am contacted the day I leave the message. I have seen one other doctor in the practice and she was good too. Dr. Brophy treated me for lyme disease and it subsided. If a medication or treatment she has prescribed hasn't worked as well as she feels it should she has no problem trying something else. She is also willing to let me try things my way first and if she isn't satisfied with the results we do it her way. Highly recommend

life long primary care doctor, nicest and most helpful understanding doctor I have ever met. Always able to squeeze me in and doe not rush you in and out. A couple of members on her front desk staff could use a attitude check. I moved to VA but still travel to Dunkirk, Md to see her.

This doctor's office is RUDE and unhelpful and there is a general malaise hanging over this place due to the "staff." Over the last 12 months I've called this place at least 3 times - and everytime I do I regret it. They do NOT take people who are unfortunate enough to have United Health Care or Tricare Health insurance - I guess they can be highly selective - not enough competition - I suppose, although I'm not sure the doctor's in this office even know this is going on. If you don't have to live in Southern Maryland - don't. This doctor's office and staff sum this place up. Ugh. Good luck.
