Dr. Bartoli is nothing short of amazing. He actually listens to his patients, takes tons of notes, and asks about your "whole" person, often finding a connection between problems that may have not have even occurred to you, and then curing both problems! He does his own scheduling and has very little staff, but this is common at other single-doctor offices I've seen. There are some crazy people who get upset just because he won't refill their prescriptions when he thinks they are addicted, but I can see that he is not interested in that kind of practice - he truly wants to help people get better, and patients who aren't interested in that won't come back.

Dr. Bartoli is one of the best pain doctors I have ever seen, and I've seen plenty. I love the fact that he is so knowledgeable in so many disciplines, and treats the whole of me instead of just my nerve pain or whatever. If he feels like an herb will help most, or if it's an American drug or a procedure, he will recommend whatever he thinks will help most, not what will make him the most money. You may have to wait a while to see him because many of his patients prattle on (and he actually listens!), but he is well worth the wait. I have never met a doctor who seems so genuinely engaged with and concerned for his patients' health and well-being.

I only saw Dr. Bartoli once. I went to him because the visit was covered by my insurance. 6 months later I got a bill for $850. I've left numerous messages and spoke to him a few times because my insurance company said they already paid their percentage of the $850. He keeps referring me to his billing agency, but they never call me back. I'm still getting the same bill each month and don't know what to do. The office is either extremely unprofessional or sketchy.

Dr. Bartoli was completely inconsiderate and had very little compassion for me in my time of excruciating pain. He rarely conveyed any sincere sympathy for my condition and was extremely unavailable - he has no on-call help, no receptionist, and no answering machine. For anyone who is truly suffering, he would have to be your worst possible option.

Dr. Bartoli is a special physician. I've worked in the healthcare business for many years and have worked with hundreds of doctors. Dr. Bartoli possesses qualities that can't be taught in medical school. He was the pain management doctor for my mother for her 2 1/2 week hospital stay before her passing of cancer. I can't say enough about his manner, care, and compassion...all equal to or exceeding his clinical expertise. A truly special doctor.
