hi I am just so happy w Dr Veit , she has been my GYN for 16 months and we are now expecting our 1st! Just had to share the news!

As as patient of Dr Veit's for 20 years, I was so sad that she closed her practice in Tarrytown.Happily I found her again in Hartsdale working with Montefiore. I am on the bio-identical Hormones and she is the only MD who really understands Menopause. I've been back on the Hormones for a month and feel great.

I would like share my experience with dr.veit and her staff. She is nice person but as far as treating her patients, she is clueless. She doesn't look in to the problem deep. She had too many patient, so she just takes very briefly with each case. I did 4 cycle and all of them were unsuccessful. She did not care. I would not recommend her to anyone. If you are sending money, please find good doctor to handle your case. If you go to START website this doctors had lower parentage of successful cycle.

I was highly recommended to Dr. Veit by a close friend of mine. I was on depo provera and trazadone by previous doctors.She told me I had to undergo urine and blood tests right before my depo shot (which I received every 90 days). I told her I never had to do this with my previous doctors. She insisted it was the law.Also, she wanted to put me on prozak (which is a much stronger anti depressant than trazadone). She also told me only a psychiatrist can prescribe trazadone and she could not do it for me.I refused the prozak! She reluctantly wrote me a prescription for only 10 days. I left feeling very frustrated and anguished.I couldn't find a psychiatrist in 10 days and out of desperation, asked my GP if he could write me out a prescription and he said absolutely,found another GYN who gave me my depo shots (no urine or blood before each shot every 3 months).I don't know where she got her information but I was put through the wringer for nothing. What an ordeal!

Please don't waste your time.Find another OB/GYN asap. Especially for fertility issues. GO anywhere, BUT! Poor staff, Poor bedside manner. Not interested in her patients at all! UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!!!

I feel relieved to have found this site. I too think Dr Veit may be knowlegable but cares more about her "numbers" than about her patients. Repeatedly I told her I wanted a TSH test as Hypothyroidism runs in my family and repeatedly she dismissed me. I was too young for that to be a concern. She told me I didn't ovulate. I asked for the TSH test again. She said I had low progesterone. I asked for the TSH test again. After 2 failed cycles she wanted to discuss with me that I was infertile due to unknown reasons etc and I instead made an appt with my primary. Who discovered I AM hypothyroid. 2 years of wasted time. I can't believe she never checked. I am getting copies of my records and going to another practice. I feel scammed. I feel like she just wanted my cash and didn't really care about me.

I had seen Dr. Veit for over 7years. After being scheduled with with wrong doctor, at the wrong office, at the wrong time, and waiting for over 3hours to be seen, she spent only 10minutes max! My test results were never ready to be discussed with me, and when they were - they were read incorrectly or never relayed to me. The staff was so disorganized and never gave her messages. Not directly her fault, but a definite problem. After she left the practice, I went to the yonkers office once- never again. They are even worse. So rude, and unhelpful. They charged me for my records $22, which were all unorganized and lacked important lab results and records. It then took them 2 weeks to finally gather #2 reports for me. After looking through my records, i was shocked to see several notes and lab results that were never discussed with me that had been circled and stated "to discuss with patient". Unacceptable. Thank God I have moved on to a more organized and reputable OBGYN practice.!
