I began seeing this doctor in June 2015 as my primary, he seemed to be fine, until I needed to come in to see him a few months later, due to very bad lower back pain, when I called his office I wanted to speak to him to get some feedback 1) his was very upset that he had to come to the phone because he was busy and 2) he refused to see me and 3) he just suggested to see a chiropractor... I am not a child, I know the difference between needing a chiropractor or something much more serious!!! Well little did he know that I took it upon myself and made an appointment to see a spine specialist and they gave me a referral with no questions ask. Sure enough the specialist found I had a spine fracture. I thought I would forgive his rudeness and give him another chance, however, his true colors surfaced again. As a doctor he took an oath, if he can't handle the pressures of his profession, he should turn to another profession or discontinue take more patients if it is getting to "busy" for him. I currently have high blood pressure and he prescribed medication, however , I am in need of a refill I have been taking them for the past 7 months, I noticed I had no refills so I called the drug store and they told me that they would call his office for authorization, when I called the drug store the next day they told me that that I was no longer a patient, now mind you, I just requested a referral to see an eye doctor and they got me one. When I called the office to confirm this they could not find my records, then when they finally did they told me that Dr. Defilippis denied my request for a refill because I have to come in to see him, I told the receptionist that I won't be able to come in until I return for my trip that if they could refill for at least 10 day and they refused. Now based on my knowledge, I should not stop taking my blood pressure mediation because it is dangerous.... If he had any decency he would have called me prior to denying my prescription and could have worked with me to allow me to have 10 days of pills until I returned and I could have gone for a follow up. I am taking him off as a primary! This is why I hate to go to the doctors, it is all about the money.. Why bother taking an oath!!!!
