I have a neurological condition and suffer from chronic pain and went to see Dr. Menon based on a recommendation from a friend. I was looking for someone to could help me address my issues holistically rather than piecemeal and was very upfront about this. Dr. Menon had a very impatient attitude, implied I was doctor shopping*, walked out of the room mid-sentence and never came back, and refused to talk to me and my wife again when we said that we hadn't had a chance to ask questions and wanted to know if she was even interested in treating me. She told her assistant to get medical records from us, but never said what she wanted (I came with a box of records and her assistant didn't seem to think she wanted all of them but no one knew). It was very obvious that at some point she decided she was done with us and she just walked out. When we asked to talk to her again explaining that she left us feeling confused and judged, she refused and had her assistant tell us she'd talk to us again after getting test results back. In the past several years, I have been to many doctors as I've struggled to get diagnosed and treated and never once was I made to feel like I was not worth the doctor's time. It was incredibly discouraging and demoralizing. Even if she thought we were terrible people, she could have just said that she didn't think she was the right doctor for me. How hard is that? What do you gain my making a sick person feel worse???

*What's the problem with doctor shopping, anyway? If you go to buy a car and you don't like the salesman, you go somewhere else. Why are doctors above reproach? I wasn't even looking for medication, in fact, I was very clear that I am looking to get off as much medication as possible and went to Dr. Menon because she has other options in-house (acupuncturist, nutritionist). Looking for a compatible doctor is not something anyone should be ashamed of. Ever.

I have found Dr. Menon very knowledgeable and helpful in evaluating my conditions, and explaining the treatment options. She does not rush, but does a in depth explanation of everything. The entire staff is very helpful and courteous. The entire staff makes going to the Doctor's office less a terrible experience.

Dr. Menon was recommended to me by my neighbor, someone whose judgment I trust. I was not disappointed in the least. She's been my doctor for the past four years, and I continue to be impressed with how current her knowledge is, how thorough she is, her genuine concern, and her patience. She is very proactive and supportive. I highly recommend her.
