Dr. Thompson is the worst doctor that I know. I would never suggest anyone see her.

This is the worst doctor experience I have ever endured. Absolutely horrible woman and the receptionist/nurse is just as manipulative and nasty. Not only did my appointment about a standard uti last 2 entire hours, the doctor criticized me and accused me of sleeping around. She then insisted I have every test in the book taken. I didn't realize until I got the bill from my insurance company that she accrued a $2,000 medical bill off a simple uti visit. ****. Please save yourself a traumatic gyno experience and cross Virginia off your list of possible doctors.

New to the area & very happy with the decision to see Dr. Thompson. I was very impressed during my initial visit when she spent over an hour with me, something that is pretty unusual these days when it seems like you can't get more than 5-10 minutes of a Dr's time. She has a great bedside manner - friendly & approachable but also serious, which I appreciate given that I'm seeing her because of some complications I'm having. She is very knowledgable & accessible, as is her staff. Isabelle at the front desk is particularly helpful. My only disappointment was to learn that she is no longer delivering babies but she has a network of doctors that she works with at Sibley who come highly recommended as well.

I have known Dr. Thompson for over 21 years. She delivered all three of my children. I have always found her to be exceedingly patient, Knowledgeable, and thorough in everything that she does. I have lived in Virginia for the past 10 years and for the sake of convenience I have attempted to find the same level of competetance and care in other Doctors. However, after trying other doctors I keep coming back to Dr. Thompson. She is great!!

Dr.Thompson is one of a kind. She listens and responds to my concerns. She is always cheerful and professional. She has been my doctor for over 20 years and I am very pleased with her services. Her staff is welcoming and sets her patients at ease very quickly.

Love the doctor. Hate her receptionist. She charge me a co-pay when she shouldn't have and it is impossible to understand what she's saying/

Dr. Thompson talked with me first and took my history personally. The Well Women's exam was painless and quick. She seemed very nice and her staff very professional. I'm only sorry that she no longer delivers babies. I will continue to use her as my gyn and will take her recomendation for an OB when that time comes. Kudos Dr. Thompson!

I owe this doctore a lot. She is a great OBG and a physian. She made my son possible! And then she basically saved my life. During the regular check up she identified two diagnoses, one of which could be uncurable if waited longer. I and my family are greatful to her.

I needed Virginia Thompson's services in both surgery and as a GYN and I could not be more satisfied with her staff or practice. The staff are uncommonly helpful in scheduling and general friendliness. Also, I have seen several GYNs in the past and Dr. Thompson is the most responsive, thoughtful and genuinely invested in her patients. I can not expect doctors to be superheroes, but Dr. Thompson is considerate (heated speculum!), patient and (overwhelmingly her best feature) she takes the time to discuss your concerns at length. I have never had a more satisfying medical experience.
