Just to make it short everthing was a failure they got our money DR Morales said we still money in the account but when we stop seeing her 5 Months ago when I called today the finance rep said it zero balance. We did finish the treatement 1 cycle only the first one was not a cycle because it was continued. We spent $10,000-$15,000 plus the medicine from our pocket the total is around $20,000.We had a bad experience.

We went through a year of fertility treatment with Dr. Morales before conceiving our first child via IVF back in 2009. Dr. Morales is a top doctor in her field, staying abreast of all of the latest available technologies. She is meticulous in her approach, taking all relevant factors into account - mother's health, father's health, etc. and applies a scientific approach to treatment. This is the only way to yield the best possible outcomes. Our second time around with Dr. Morales, we conceived within 2 months, again via IVF. I am due in May with our second baby. I am over 40 years old. Dr. Morales is very caring and compassionate, but in order to do her job effectively, she is first and foremost a doctor and scientist. She has given us the priceless gift of parenthood. We are forever indebited to her.

I loved Dr. Morales! She was awesome! She went over all our options. We started out with the lowest option available. We conceived on the first IUI. When I went in for my 10 week appointment, Dr. Morales told me the baby no longer had a heartbeat. She was so compassionate and empathetic. She hugged me and gave me the support I needed since my husband wasn't able to make the appointment with me. When I was ready to try again, Dr. Morales compted the appointment. We tried 3 more IUIs and I finally conceived agin. Our son is now 9 months old! I wish I still lived in San Diego since we're planning on trying again.

We were very impressed by Dr Morales and her team, and conceived first-time after several unsuccessful attempts at a different facility. Dr Morales gave us excellent advice and information for us to make informed decisions about our treatment. I highly recommend this facility.

With the exception that we have yet to conceive, we have had a very good experience with Dr. Morales and her staff. She encouraged us to start with low tech options and we only escalated to IVF after 3 Clomid cycles and 3 IUIs. We got pregnant from our first IVF but miscarried and are now doing an FET cycle through their guarantee program. I have really appreciated that her clinic has been able to accommodate my very busy work schedule and that her practice emphasizes ultrasounds over blood work as I am a very hard draw and after several tramatic months of getting multiple blood draws a week with another doctor we are very happy to be at her clinic. She is fast but informative and compassionate. I would definitely recommend her to anyone in the San Diego area.

She is too quick and rushes everything. She does not have any compassion. I thought professionals in this type of field (or any medical field) would be a little bit more sensitive and empathetic.

One thing I observed was she never tried low tech options and other alternatives fully before proposing hi-tech options. I am also disappointed with cash rate concept for IVF treatment. I was told that I will be given all the information needed to claim from insurance and in the end they could not provide with what my insurance needed as a break down of charges against each bill code, hence I could not get insurance claim processed. They were clever enough to collect the money in advance and also made me sign the disclaimer that they would not be able to provide me with itemized invoice, which was not explicitly explained during any of our discussions and they were aware that no insurance company would process claims without medical codes. I felt I was misled and would not trust them in what they speak especially the finance co-ordinators.

Not very responsive (3 calls and escalation to primary physician needed).

I made the previous post on 10/11/09... and wanted to include that not only was Dr. Morales going to charge us $16,000-$20,000 for what she said were our "only options" to have a child... but after getting a second opinion and learning other options... on our FIRST attempt at a low-tech procedure, (Clomid IUI) we conceived! The Clomid medicine cost $12 and the IUI cost $182 and was done at Sharp Rees-Stealy. Our baby is due in 6 months... thanks to other doctors. If Dr. Morales does not give you hope, as was our case, go get a second opinion!!

Biography

As she completed her medical training, in vitro fertilization (IVF) was in its infancy. This infertility specialty combined many of the topics Dr. Morales was interested in focusing on in medicine: technology, psychology, ethics and surgery. These are all still elements that drive Dr. Morales’s passion and commitment to her patients. Dr. Morales founded Fertility Specialist Medical Group in 2000 with the intention of creating a clinic that serves everyone in need – no matter their situation – and focused on their family-building goals, not just the next pregnancy. When she founded FSMG, the IVF industry was a male-dominated field. Overcoming this disparity to create a successful clinic is something of which Dr. Morales is exceptionally proud.
