Dr Carter knew the child would continue experiencing seizures while on phenobarbital when he was released from the hospital, she also knew that it was dangerous to stack phenobarbital w/other drugs with a narcotic side effect, however, she did not deem it necessary to inform the child's primary health care physician, Social Services, or the foster parents of the consequences of brain trauma and the ongoing treatment, or put it in the child's file...for the 2 1/2 months after his release when she refused to see the child because she was concerned she would not get paid...This absence of follow up could have had DIRE consequences. When she did see the child, her attitude was arrogant dismissive, unconcerned and uncaring. She made disparaging comments about other people involved in the child's treatment in my presence, which was unprofessional and uncalled for. Her knowledge of the child's file/situation was quite superficial. NOT GOOD.

Will not speak with you on the phone, ever. Lacks understanding of children. Expects perfection out of small children at all times. Does not listen will to parents concerns.

My Daughter loves Dr. Carter (she is 4) and she has seen many Dr's who she is afraid of. Even thought I sometimes have to wait, I know it is because she is being thourough with the people before me and she will be thourough with me. I never feel rushed with her and she anwers all my questions. I wish she could be our regular Pediatrician. I love her and would recommend her to anyone!
