I found Dr Gentile office staff very helpful and professional and he is such a caring doctor , feel comfortable under his care , though he has limited hours due to the fact he is the only physician there with no PA or NP , a good office for educated consumers and quality care

I wish that my review here could bear more weight than a solitary star, if for no other reason than to counteract the falsely positive reviews posted here by this doctor's own office staff in a puerile and obstructive means to deceive future patients and regulatory authorities. This medical office, well, more specifically, the office manager/dr's wife (Vicki), is quite simply abusive, unprofessional, and most importantly unethical. She is verbally abusive to her own clientele and dismissive of laws regulating a patient's right to medical privacy (e.g., HIPAA).

Perhaps you might catch Vicki on a good day, but more often than not, a short amount of time in Dr. Gentile's waiting room will show the office manager's combative, and unprofessional disdain for the office's patients and patients' representatives. She is also verbally abusive towards her own staff who appear to fear her.

In the last appointment in their office, Vicki and a male patient were arguing and the argument spilled over into the waiting room. Vicki at this time was also yelling at her staff because apparently, they had given him too much information about the test. The patient became upset and left. Vicki then chose to talk about that patient and the test he needed with those of us in the waiting room.

At that point I stopped her, informing her that she was in violation of HIPAA laws which prohibit her from sharing a patient's personal medical information with the entire room. Her vehemence sharply turned toward me at that point and said, "HIPAA OR NO HIPAA, I DON'T CARE!" before storming off into the nurse's station to air her grievances (using foul language) about the male patient and myself, once again, loud enough for all in the waiting room to hear.

When the person I was with was called in to the doctor's office, we had to walk past the nurses' station (where Vicki sits). Vicki was bothered by my presence and actually had the audacity to say, "Keep walking, B***ch!" I confronted her about it, and her loyal staff member (I think her name is Albina, but I'm not 100% certain) claimed she wasn't referring to me. Even if that were true, which it obviously was not, is that the decorum expected of a medical office? When we brought this matter to Dr. Gentile's attention, he denied everything and did not provide a solution to resolve the matter.

This is the treatment one can expect from Vicki -- violent, aggressive disdain, with little care for either courtesy or ethics. She not only violates patient privacy laws, but she infringes on the very nature of the doctor's oath to "do no harm." And from what I've seen in the review commentary, anyone who complains about their practice is pounced upon and risks having their character attacked. Is that the type of practice you would expect from a medical professional?

I pity any client that happens into their office. Even if they are lucky enough to avoid Vicki's violent and aggressive vehemence, there is no guarantee that the sanctity of their privacy is held with the slightest regard.

Bottom line, look for another office that respects patients' rights and treats them with dignity.

If you feel you were mistreated by Vicki, then I encourage you to file a complaint with your insurance company, as well as with the medical review board (njconsumeraffairs.gov/bme); also write reviews on the various sites (e.g., Google, ratemds.com, healthgrades.com, vitals.com, etc.).

The staff is not helpful and is very, very rude. Referrals are never done on time. I have gone to appointments the doctor couldn't see me because Dr. Gentile's staff

never it the referral. Which means another visit to Dr. Gentile and the other MD.

Doctor Gentile is a great man and great doctor. But in order to see him you need to go through Näzi Germany. The manager receptionist, a miserable Asian woman, is the most inconsiderate, mean, pathetic woman who will literally scream at patients and treat everyone like absolute crop. She things she knows everything and will not lift a finger to help anyone. She should not be in this profession. She is lazy and does not like to work. Other then that the doctor is very knowledgeable and intelligent. So overall the doctor has 5 stars his staff have zero. Very unprofessional.

The doctor's wife is terrible and so disrespectful, I have no ideal what he saw in this beast of a women. She is of Asian decent and I guess forget where her roots come from. She most likely was a mail order bride. I did move forward and press an insurance complaint against this practice. She has no manners what so ever. Please don't waste your time with this practice. He is known as a drug pusher anyone.

Dr Gentile is a wonderful doctor. My problems are with his wife Vicky the office manager. She is rude, obnoxious, unprofessional, unstable, and arrogant. She does not belong in a doctors office. Every time I'm there I can hear her bad mouthing patients and she uses the patients names she's screaming about and the medications they are there to get. Total HIPPA violations across the charts. Even though I've waited my turn to see the doctor she knocks on the door and interrupts during my visit several times. I find this extremely annoying and rude. I'd rather stick needles in my eyes than speak to her on the phone because she doesn't allow you to speak. She just shouts and speaks over you. No compassion or professionalism at all. Jesse the lab tech is like something out of the walking dead. She doesn't smile, say hello, or even ask how you are doing. She's sloppy, wears flips flops, no gloves. Looks like she just rolled out of bed. The office is in shambles. No thermometer to check your temperature ripped up chairs no soap or paper towels by the sinks. They never have my test results or when they do getting copies is like pulling teeth. They hired two new girls which are very nice. The one that answers the phone is very polite and professional and the girl that takes your blood pressure and gets your work up before the doctor comes in is a sweetheart. These two girls understand the importance of being professional and compassionate. I would not recommend going here if you're looking for a pleasant experience. Again I like Dr Gentile but something is wrong if he allows his wife any where near his practice. The way I've heard her talking to and about the patients is so illegal it makes my head spin. Thank God for Karma I'm sure it will hit her soon.

I've been going to Dr Gentile for over 25 years. He is the best Doctor and when you have serious health issues he is definitely the one you need in your corner. I have had some problems over the years with some of the staff but the girls he has now are some of the best he's had. I've been in the hospital a few times and he's always stopped in to check on me and to let me know he's aware that I'm there and gets me whatever I need quickly. My mom has been in and out of the hospital with major health issues and he's always right in the middle of making sure she's getting well taken care of and that she receives the best care from any specialist he recommends to her. My mother and I wouldn't go any where else. When going to his private practice you may need to wait but when he gets to your room he really takes the time to sit there and listen to you no matter how busy he is. That mean a lot to me. He's always hit the nail on the head when it comes to diagnosing what my problems are and I completely trust him with my life. The last 5 times I've been to his office my wait time has been less than a half hour. If he retired I would cry! I don't know what my mom and I would do without him. It is a wonderful blessing to have this must trust in a Doctor!

This has to be the worst experience i have ever had with a doctors office. The staff is so rude and dismissive. Office is a dirty, sloppy mess. This is clearly a mill. Go somewhere else is my advice!

Going to this office was probably one of the worst experiences i have ever had in my 50+ years. The office staff is just rude rude rude. The wait is forever, the office is filthy. No one wears gloves, gawd, the girl who took my blood looked like she was wearing a dirty bathing suit, no gloves and flip flops. Gentile is a nice man but certainly not a stellar doctor, fair or par at best, if he remembers what is going on with you from visit to visit. His staff is horrendous. They tell you nothing. They caused my surgery to be postponed because they neglected to inform me of blood results until the last minute. They never do referrals in time and if you ask, it's like you're bothering them. If they worked for me, they'd all be fired, including that rude loud and foul mouth wife. And yes, salespeople cut in line even after you've waited over an hour. I waited 2.5 hours today just to get them to create a referral for me, not even for treatment. Then went on to that MD only to be turned away because they did NOT do the referral. They just don't care. Just unacceptable all around! Will be filing a formal complaint with every and any board I can find.
