I have been a pain patient for over 20 years. After moving to Tennessee, I needed to find a new pain doctor, and I liked the look of Dr. Urban. Dr. Urban spent a couple of hours with me in my first appointment, getting a clear idea of what my needs are. He took a more holistic approach to my pain management than my previous doctor did. He made some changes to my medication to attack the pain on several levels. After two months working with the doctor, my pain is at a lower level than it has been in quite a while. His staff is great, too, and his nurse practitioner is wonderful. You don't spend much time in the waiting room, either. This is partly because they will usually reschedule a patient who shows up more than 10 minutes late. They need you to be on time for them so that they can be on time for you. I've waited as long as an hour and a half with my last doctor, so I like it that way.

Dr. Urban, Steve flew the coop without even telling know when he's leaving or where you going. So you just left everybody hanging

He's the best pain management doctor I have ever met.He left his position with Doctor baker.I don't like it there now I want to find Doctor Steven A Urban again so I can change to him.

His staff is terrible. They do NOT call back in a timely manner. Took me two weeks to get a call back after three messages...not good if you're in pain!
