I agree with the last reviewer; I had a similar experience in that I could never see him. Was always passed off to someone else.

I had some bleeding issues during my first trimester. I called his clinic, and they had me come in a few times. However, it was always a nurse, a physician assistant, or a ultrasound technician who took care of me. I could never see him although I knew he was in his office. I was not allowed to directly communicate with him and I could only talk to him through his staff even when I had such troubles. He showed up at the last minute when I found out that my baby was already dead. While I was sobbing, I didn't know who he was. He was a doctor! Because I couldn't see a doctor, his nurse and physician assistant gave me what I should do. One suggested I should rest, the other said that I should do some exercise despite the bleeding. So, I was encouraged to do more exercise by the second person, and I started to work out a bit, which caused more bleeding and finally miscarried my baby at the end of the first trimester. I wonder if their inconsistent care helped make things worse. Nightmare!

Wife still not due for another five weeks (give or take), but I am very encouraged. We have strong preferences about natural childbirth and Dr. Maurer is very cool about wanting to help us follow our birthing plan. I just hope the baby comes during his shift!

Dr. Maurer is fun, prompt, and thorough. I trust and value his judgment. I highly recommend him to women looking for a good doctor for everything from annual pelvic exams/pap smears to more complicated medical issues like fibroids.

He is an excellent physician with great judgment. I felt something was wrong at 22 weeks. He had me come in the office. Although I was not in labor, his instinct told him to visual check. As it turned out, I had started to dilate. His instinct is why I have my son today. He is kind, compassionate and absolutely wonderful
