Dr. Husman didn't introduce herself to my son or me, she simply walked into the waiting room, looked at us and stated she would take one of us into her office at a time. While I was with her, she was abrupt and condescending. She didn't take any time to get to know my son, me or our situation. At one point, she asked if I thought my son could be ADHD. I told her that I thought it was possible and she asked why I had that opinion. After I shared many examples of his behavior, and the fact I've been teaching for 18 years, she told me that I was going about his treatment 'half-a$$ed.' She ordered an 'objective' (and costly) ADHD assessment be done so she could figure out how to medicate him, something I'm not completely on board with but she didn't listen to that. Every maternal instinct I had was telling me she did NOT have my son's best intentions in mind, she wanted to put him on meds to 'fix' him. We will not be going back to her.

she listens well, provides excellent feedback and has an excellent therapist who works with her.
