This Doctor is a fine and conscientious cardiologist. He tracked me down while I was on vacation visiting family in Kentucky when he'd tried contacting me at my home in Phoenix. I had not left a contact number with his office. I was impressed. He seems very knowledgeable and patient with my inquiries about my situation. He has been very helpful in assisting me with maintaining my ADOT cert. with the State of Arizona, as a Truck driver and maintaining my income. I highly recommend Him and Phoenix Heart. I have had two angioplasty's after a heart attack in 2001 and have no complaint's about my treatment via these folks.

Dr. Rossum is wonderful...knowledgeable, honest and straight forwarded. I would reccommend him to anyone. He is very thorough in testing before he makesa diagnosis.

I felt like I was being patronized for wanting preventative medicine, not tests. I had a Calcium score test done on my own because the medical field likes to do tests that require another test to confirm it, plus atherosclerosis runs in the family. I got a score of 112 and was told that at 150 I would have been instructed to get further testing, lol. Alfred said he saw people with scores of 500 and said most people can't afford the test I got on my own, for $100. They said they would call me to schedule the tests he thought I needed, I haven't received a call yet 2 weeks later. I asked about diet and how to avoid getting the next 38 points in the one and only artery. He said we would get to that later, which never came. Advice, never let the doctor say that, it always gets forgotten. I asked about cholesterol drugs if they do reduce the build up, he said we would know in 20 years what we do today. He charged 414.00 for an EKG and nothing else, I see why health care has a problem.
