My comment is referring to back in 1991/92. I went to Dr. Adam for my 1st pregnancy & lost my ins. during late pregnancy. He advised that he would not del unless I came up with 1500.00 so I did. He let me go so late, 43 wks the nurses were saying I was after the the most traumatic del. Advised me to be at hospvon a Tues a.m. Well I actually started my 'bloody show' that a.m. before I arrived to be induced but they wouldn't believe me and started the pictocin. It was the horrible, I was screaming and cussing in the worst labor pains imaginable, baby kicking my back, etc...This went on for 5 hours & he advised the nurses not to let me get the epidural until I was dilated to at least an 8 or 9!! I suspect he was in a hurry. Monitor showed baby to be in extreme distress, heartbeat went down to 30 bpm, my BP was soaring and I was screaming in pain. After this I finally got the epidural and right after I had to start pushing because they said the umbilical cord was wrapped around baby's shoulder. Dr. Adam had to cut me from one end to the other and he had to use forceps because it was an emergency to get my baby out. I ended up with 37 stitches with the episiotomy and scarred & maimed down there! Ever since, 30 years now, when I urinate it all flows back towards my rectum, not straight down like it used to. Looking back, I absolutely should have had an emergency C-section. This has bothered me for 30 years so today I looked up to see if this doctor was still even alive and IDK if he is or not but at least I've been able to share my experience today. KKW.
