I scheduled my annual exam for 9:30am. The waiting room was empty when I arrived shortly after 9:00am. It was 10:30am before I saw Dr. Collins. The routine exam takes less than 15 minutes. I had no questions but Dr. Collins proceeded to ramble on while I sat uncomfortably on the exam table draped in exam coverings. Dr. Collins does not have access to my medical records held by my primary physician but he recommended I start taking a baby aspirin daily based solely on my age. After listening to 20 minutes of ramblings about aging which were not anatomy specific to his field, I was finally allowed to dress and leave. The waiting room was full of patients when I left the appointment. I am the process of finding a new doctor.

Dr Collins delivered all 4 of my children (including twins) :) my oldest is now 17 and my youngest is 11 and the twins are 15. I loved his office staff and the care he gave me as a young mother! Have recommended him to all my friends since.

I've gone to see Dr. Collins 4 times. Each time he got later and later to see me. The first time I saw him for my yearly. He scheduled me to return 6 months later, due to an irregular pap. Upon returning 6 months later, I waited for over an hour and he forgot why he needed to see me. He then scheduled a leep test for the next month. Upon returning for that appointment, anxious and scared too death, I waited over 2 hours for a 10 minute procedure. 6 months later I went for another check up and proceeded to wait over yet another hour. I don't mind waiting, if I'm given a choice. Sitting in an office half dressed waiting for hours for someone to poke and prodd at me. . . Yea, I'll pass!

I left Collins to see a specialist. Recently had to have a yearly exam with him. He tried to double the dosage on a medicine he never prescribed in the first place. Then, when I mentioned getting a fertility procedure next month, he wasn't sure whether it was scheduled with him or not. Uh, NO - that's why we went to a specialist. He failed - twice - at that procedure. He'd always comment how he wanted to see me pregnant, but he was passive when it came to finding out why I wasn't.

Dr. Collins delivered my first child and at first I didn't like him because if I had a question abou something he would just say "your just pregnant" instead of explaining anything to me. But after I delivered I had some problems with a breast infection and he handled it very well and was very compassionate about my situation. I probably would not suggest him to a friend but he wasn't a horrible dr just a little different.

I went to Dr Collins for a few years and he was ok for yearly checkups and things but the last exam I had been having a few issues with pain and swelling under my arm and brest area and he seemed to just blow it off and it has not gone away so I will be seeking another Dr. I was very unhappy.
