I am a near 70 yr old who has a very serious spine condition, now total spondyloloptosis which has originated from spinal fusion (1972) when I was only 23 yrs old and, at that time was operated on very successfully by very competent and compassionate ortho surgeon who was one of the 3 original docs of this clinic, drs Hargadon, Mitchell and Eggers all of which I believe were highly skilled and professional ! Now that my fusion is severely fractured with 0 disk space @ L5-S1, one of the newer docs want to help me whatsoever ! I was seen by Vemuri and, I too got a very bad impression of his knowledge and/or spine surgery skills ! He could answer no questions about my now near hopeless condition, had never heard of type bracing I was put in by original doc, LOC, who had done my fusion, clinic then on Eastern Pkwy, seemed lightyears better than what I have witnessed in new LOC ! This is Not Your Man should you need Fusion for grade 2 or above spondylolisthesis like I did at such an early age ! Have thanked The Lord, over and over that I did have the good fortune of being operated on in 1972 by I believe Best of The Best ! That fine Dr, I am certain, has now gone on to Glory and I have been left with no spinal dr, period, I think because of Unfair Patient Profiling and Untruths told about me ! This guy was anything but helpful and, from my experience for near 50 yrs with my own spine, knows very little about spondylolisthesis or its many complications as he avoided all of my questions for any help ! I am a retired Reg Nse having practiced over w5 yrs in state of ky and it is so discouraging to me to discover that , basically. When technology went up, patient care, from every aspect it seems has and continued to go down !!! I need, so badly, another good spine doc since mine passed away. but unable to find one that will be professional in all of Louisville Ky !!! I would rate this Vemuri about a 1 out of 5, Truthfully !! And I , neither, can understand how, today, a DO, who is not an MD, is allowed to operate on anyone's spine ! When I had my Fusion, in 72, my good ortho doc also had with him on the surgery a top notch neurosurgeon, also very good ! Spinal Care, today, seems to have gone down, down, down and, oh yes, this guy told untrue things in his office visit report about me also !! I would certainly welcome name of a good spine specialist in this day and time
