Maggie Dinome, (to whom I was referred for a hernia repair), used surgical mesh to repair the hernia without informing me about the dangers and complications of surgical mesh. When I complained about the ongoing pain, she gas lit me. Many people have severe problems from hernia mesh. A doctor who harms a patient and then gas lights them ought to be out of practice, in my opinion.

Dr. Di Nome and her staff were wonderful when I recently went through a lumpectomy at St. John's. They kept me informed about the entire procedure and responded to all my inquiries. And my other Doctors all said she's the BEST there is. I agree. Barbara Rosen

After 4 colonoscopys (unable to remove a flat 2.5 mm Pre Cancerous Colon Polyp) Gastro Dr. recomended surgery I informed him I wanted the laparoscopic surgery and I wanted the best, He said "the best is in California" so I drove to California from Las Vegas (270 miles) met with Dr. Dinome and scheduled surgery. Flew into LA from Vegas, Had surgery at St. Johns Hospital, everything was perfect, woke up to find two small holes in my stomach. everything I read suggested 3-4 holes so I was very happy, no where near the pain I expected, Out of the hospital in 3 days, Flew back home, Drove back to Santa Monica 2 weeks later for check up, Got there early she took me in early, explained everything and gave me clean bill of health, 6 weeks after surgery I feel great, very little scaring, no pain, One of the best decisions I ever made. Dr. Dinome truly is the best! and a credit to her profession, her staff was great.(very helpfull) over 1500 miles in 3 trips, (well worth it!!!)

Poor explanations and after care. Misled me about true health situation I was in. Told me I did not have cancer and did have cancer. Did not order appropriate test. I went to other MDs who had all disagreed with treatment. I would not recommend receiving medical care from her or her associates for cancer

Wonderful. She is professional and She really cares about her patients. She notified me of my biospy results as soon as she received them. she is not like other physicians who let the lab results sit for days expecting patients to call. She realizes the anxiety a patient can feel just waiting for the results. As for my surgery she was skillful and removed the papiloma and I cannot even see a scar! I recommended her to my friend and she also was impressed with her caring attitude as well as her knowledge,proffesionalism and skill in surgery. I am an RN and highly recommend her.

Dr. DiNome was extremely knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable regarding my surgery. She has an amazing reputation at Saint John's Hospital, and cured me of my cancer with a minimally invasive surgery. Highly recommend her.

I discovered no matter how "qualified" a doctor is, they make mistakes on the simplest procedures. My best friend underwent surgery with Dr. Dinome for removal of a simple lipoma that was causing her pain and Dr. Dinome never even bothered to come into the pre-op to identify the lipoma for removal. Little did she or my friend know that there were multiple lipomas and Dr. Dinome didn't ask her where the lipoma was until after she was on the operating table already drugged up! Needless to say, she removed a lipoma that my friend didn't even know was there and left the one that was causing her pain. She had to get a second surgery done to remove the correct one and now has 2 scars instead of one. Doctors need to be careful and attentive to even those surgeries that they think can be done with their eyes closed - because in this case she made a BIG mistake.

She is wonderful. Although it's early in the game, on my first visit I left her office feeling encouraged (which was the exact opposite when I first went in). She was professional, yet warm and approachable. She answered all questions in layman's terms. I feel I'm in good hands.
