Dr Davis is extremely arrogant and acted like it was a privilege for me to be talking to him. i don't think he really likes people at all and is only in it for the money.

I have to agree with the other negative reviews regarding Dr. Davis. I came on this site to see what other people said about him because I have trouble imagining he doesn't get a lot of bad press.

I visited him when I got new dental insurance at a new job and because he worked in my neighborhood. For starters, I found his personality extremely off-putting with some of his commentary offensive. Iagree wholeheartedly with others' assessments of him as "dismissive."

I found him the most painful dentist I have had and as a result I asked him for novocaine during my following treatments. He blew off my requests and did not provide novocaine.

The last time I saw him, I did so due to expensive and medically unnecessary abfractions at his suggestion. I take the blame for not asking for more information, particularly about cost. However, I had experienced no pain or discomfort prior to the procedure. However, three months after the procedure, I now cannot bite into anything hard without pain in my canines.

I assume I will have to pay my next dentist heavily to fix his screw up. I basically paid him to give me pain I didn't have before.

I have cycled through numerous dentists, and have had problems with many previous ones. After being told by Dr. Davis that I needed a root canal, possibly two, I asked for s second opinion and went to the "top endodontist" in Washington who told me that I didn't need one. I listened to her, alas. Weeks later, while out of town, I needed an emergency pulpectomy. Then a week later, same thing: another one. Dr. Davis nailed it, while the other "top dentist" misdiagnosed me, causing me serious pain, infection, and potential damage to my jaw. He does the best work I have ever seen on crowns--you can hardly see the line where it meets the gum--unlike other dentists who are more casual with this work. He is an utter perfectionist, will take my calls at odd hours, on the weekend, etc. And he's a really nice guy, who entertains his patients with various bizarre accents. Irish brogue is his specialty. I can't recommend him more highly.

HE diagnosed a problem that I had vor almost 2 years that each and all other doctors insisted "there is nothing there" I went on a refer by my regular internist. He found problem, explained in detail after the most complete and detailed examination I have EVER had by a dentist or a doctor. He showd me on radogr. on computer exactly what was wrong. He was patient and listened to everything I said including a long long history +wrote everything...lots of writing. Explained everything +gave me several treat. options and was ok if I get 2nd opinion. I went to a Oral Surg. She looked at films Dr D gave me, did a quick little exam & said same as Dr. Davis and insist I immed remove tooth. I went back to Dr. Davis instead because I thought he was the most detailed and caring doctor I had ever seen. He speaks other languages and is funny and kind to his assistant. Extract & bone graft were totally painles & 4mo later a implant that was also utterly painless. Later will put crown on.

Sinclair Davis is a great dentist. I went to his office on May 31 and he was able to find all the parts to fix and refit my implant crown on tooth 19. He was great on quality, education--answering my questions, and service. Best dentist I have been to.-- Steve

Great dentist for me for several yeara and extracted my son's wisdom teeth without incident. People hate going to the dentist and I think that is what we are seeing in the reviews.

I came in for a cavity that was causing pain and needed to be filled and Dr. Davis suggested that I also have a permament retainer removed from behind my front bottom teeth. I agreed that that was something I would want to do eventually. He then started working on my teeth and started by removing the wire and in place put brackets that are better hidden. I assumed that when he was done with this cosmetic procedure he would take care of my ACTUAL PROBLEM. However, when he was done he then told me we were finished for the day, I had to pay full price for what we did as it was not covered by insurance, and that I would have to come back another day for my urgent issue. This guy is a total scam artist and will subtly cheat you into getting excessive procedures. You have to make sure to be really clear about what you want done. On the other hand, Dr. Steele is really nice and I trust him implicitly. He does great work adn doesn't scam you at all.

This practice is the worst!!! Dr. Davis and his partner Dr. Steele are arrogant and greedy. Dr. Davis also suggested work that was unnecessary. I now go to another dentist and I am so glad that I do. I know for a fact that they try to get as much money as possible out of people. I was even billed for xrays that I did not have.

Incredible. Very rude and does unnecessary procedures without asking and insists on you paying for them. I had dread before every appointment that he was going to insist he found something out and drag the whole thing out even longer. I can't emphasize enough my recommendation to not use him. He's absolutely horrible.

Sorry folks, I'm giving him a 5 out of 5, even though he's more of a 4 out of 5, just to balance out the overly negative reviews. I've seen him a few times already. He's 100% courteous, 100% awesome bright, humorous personality, and I'm sorry if you had a wait-time, but it's because his previous patients may have been running late, etc. (Myself included..sorry doc.) and he's just that patient! As for the downsides, I'm not sure how much work you think he should suggest to have done, but he doesn't pressure you or anything. See I'm a young dude, and I don't want to be walk all over by ANY dentist, but this guy suits me fine since I speak up, and is great to have on hand.
