An amazing surgeon! He is extremely thorough about his testing and diagnosis procedures. He develops an excellent understanding of you and your particular issues before he gets to the operating room. He is an authority on gastric esophogeal surgery, and if you are lucky enough to get in to see him you will be in terrific hands! His findings and studies are published widely, and followed religiously by surgeons all over the world. He's the real deal, extremely detailed and disciplined. Just what you want in a surgeon!

Dr. Aye is a fantastic doctor, and he is highly skilled. I was suffering from severe gastro reflux and it was especially bad at night. I would inhale the stuff coming up from my stomach and would get pnemonia. I got pnemonia five times in a period of 6 months. My primary care doctor told me Dr. Aye was one of the few doctors in the country that knew how to do a special operation where the espophagus meets the stomach. It was called a Hill Repair. Since the operation, I have been completely cured of my gastro reflux. I don't get pneumonia anymore, and I don't have to take any medicine to control my gastro reflux because I have been completely cured. Dr. Aye is just one of a few surgeons in the country who know how to do the Hill repair. He is a nice man too.

Dr. Aye is fantastic..as a doctor and as a person. From my very first visit in 2003, to subsequent post operative visits, and now needing to visit him currently, Dr. Aye has remained very attentive and dedicated to helping in my healing process. He is also a very humble, strong Christian man who is willing to pray with his patients and offers help with spiritual healing as well. His office staff is also amazing and attentive to any need. At times you do have to wait past your appointment time to see him; however, hands down he is worth the wait. Dr. Aye is very knowlegeable, caring, and I have appreciated his care very much.

Dr. Aye is one of the most knowledgable and personable physicians I know. I came into his office rather confused and nervous. He did an excellent job explaining my condition and what surgery would best fix my problems despite being interrupted several times during our initial consult visit. His office assistant is highly efficient and wonderful to work with. I left the office feeling very comfortable with my choice to have him as my surgeon. The only issues he could possibly improve on are getting back to me with my test results in a more timely manner, and I had to wait quite a while to see him, but he is totaly worth it. I recommend this doc to anyone who has esophageal problems.

This is the most helpful surgeon and physician I have ever had. He is probably the only physician in my 62 years that has truly and thoroughly read every single piece of my medical history. Throughout my recovery from Hill Repair surgery Dr. Aye watched over me. If I had a question at all, I simply e-mailed him and got an answer almost immediately, even on weekends. By far, Swedish Hospital was the best facility I've ever been in and others from around the country have agreed. Dr. Aye is a devout Christian, a very humble and kind man and the most caring surgeon I've ever known. He is a joy and a wonderful caregiver. His medical ratings are A+.

I had a very good experience with Dr. Aye and Swedish Hospital. The team approach of Dr. Aye and Dr. Louie seemed to work very well. I enjoyed watching the interaction between these two doctors and their residents on rounds. My lung surgery turned out well and I was very impressed with their knowledge. In addition, Katy, their Nurse Practioner, was very helpful with other aspects of my care.

Dr. Aye may be technologically efficient, but when it comes to post-surgical follow up care, you're on your own. Despite complications following surgery, Aye's staff refused to put calls through to him, and it took many hours to get him to return calls. If you have complications and if they don't heal immediatly, he will tell you that you are either: depressed, a drug seeker, a difficlt patient, or somehow otherwise responsible for any problems you're having. He will wash his hands of you the minute you fail to fall into his outlined protocol. I suffered beyond measure at his hands until I went to another surgeon who took over my care. By then, however the damage was done. Aye is arrogant, insensitive and holds himself above reproach. By coincidence, I met 2 other patients of his who had similar post-surgical experiences: no follow up care after surgery when complications arose. The phone apprentaly doesn't ring into his office if you're having trouble. Beware, You are on your own!
