Along with all of the other reviews, Dr. Kryshak does not listen to his patients, just lab results. I expressed concern over serious reactions to medication he prescribed only to be blown off multiple times by staff members who have no idea what they are talking about. To keep this short, find yourself a new Endocrinologist to see as soon as possible, and save yourself the three months it takes to see him. He is one of the few who give doctors a bad name.

As per other reviewer's comments, I am extremely disappointed in the care I have received from this physician. He appears focused solely upon lab results and quickly dismisses other physical findings and symptoms. In the 2.5 years under his care, my energy levels have continued to decrease. In an attempt to lose weight (15 pounds over my ideal) it was recommended to cut calories to 800/day and exercise more even though I do not have the energy to go longer than 45 minutes per bout. I frequently had my concerns dismissed, was told that humans don't really need carbs to survive, provided information on a couple of books that would give me more information to help manage my diabetes. However, when confronted with the information from the books he cited that conflicted directly with the information he told me earlier, he said to ignore the books, because they are wrong. He provides little to no insight or guidance to assist me. I gave him 2.5 years to see if he could help. I am no better today then when I started with him, just more frustrated. Am currently looking for new provider and do not plan on returning to that practice.

Very unhelpful. Does not treat symptoms and only looks at lab numbers. Will not prescribe any natural hormones or even consider them. I feel as if I haveno other options for a doctor in my area. He said that my numbers are in range so my fatigue, anxiety and weight gain(though on strick diet) are no way from my thyroid. I just want to give up.

He would not listen to my concerns or test my t3 when t4 and tsh was "normal". Still feel tired, loosing hair, gaining weight and he won't listen. Horrible doctor, will be finding a new one.

OMG, I just read the below comment about how this patient was not listened to by Dr. Kryshak, this was my same experience in 2006! I too left crying and have never been back. I thought it was just me! For two months I tried to get an earlier appointment with him because after he radiated my thyroid in July by September I couldn't function. The girls answereing the phone just kept telling me I had a cold or the flu, no I did not. When I saw Dr. Kryshak in November he told me I wasn't experiencing what I was experiencing and that my thyroid levels weren't that low! If I had waited until my January appointment I don't think I would be here. He didn't listen and when I sent him a letter about my frustration he said I couldn't be his patient anymore! But I was firing him, he wasn't firing me! Wish I would have had the internet at that time to make a comment and perhaps have saved some people from frustration.

My first appt. I was impressed with Dr. Kryshak and then the real Dr. Kryshak came out. He is obsessed with labs and does not care what symptoms you have or how you feel. In fact, he will go as far as to tell you that you are wrong in how you "think" you feel. I have other doctors telling me that the treatments he is prescribing are dangerous per other conditions, and his response? He insists that they are wrong and have NO idea what they are talking about. I ended up in the ER because he refused to believe me that the side effects I was experiencing were due to his precious medication. Despite, the side effects being listed on the actual prescription. His PA put me on a 900 calorie a day diet (not to include calories burned at the gym). I told him that I was passing out trying to operate on 300 calories a day if I worked out. He insisted that I did not pass out but if I did, it had NOTHING to do with 300 calories a day. He insisted that it is perfectly okay to survive off 300 calories a day. Mind you, I am 15 lbs. over my normal weight because of this mess, not 150 lbs. He then went as far as to rip me to shreds telling me that I obviously do not know how to count calories and that I have been deceiving myself. After several attempts to assure him that I am well aware of how to count calories he continued to lean toward me and scoff at how I could even consider that I am capable of counting calories. He even cited some study about kids living in a van counting calories to "prove" his point. He then went on a rant about how NOBODY has EVER lost weight by working out despite their caloric intake being less than their expenditure of calories. He was so incredibly rude and unprofessional that I was in tears, and he did not care. He continued on his rant informing me that every other provider in my life was wrong and spent another 10 minutes typing. Apparently, Dr. Kryshak is the end all be all. He is a narcissistic, inconsistent jerk. I will never step foot back in his office no matter how long it takes me to get into another doctor.

Does not listen to patient or care what they say. Big ego. Bad attitude. Does not care to work with other docs for coordination of care. Was referred to him by another doc but then he turned on the doc that referred me.

Dr. does not listen to the patient, you see his PA 3 x to his 1 time. You can only get in if you book him 1 year in advance.

SO GLAD I IGNORED REVIEWS ON THE WEB! I love, love, love this doctor. I was hesitant to see him since I'd read mediocre reviews on the internet. Thankfully a friend had seen him years ago and really liked him so I decided to give it a go. I had such a good experience I felt compelled to write this. I had a whole long list of questions for him and he answered each and every one thoroughly. He asked me many questions about my health that I had never been asked before. He listened and was compassionate, and soent a good 30-45 minutes with me. (I've seen other endo's in the past so do have some to compare him to.) The office staff was lovely too. Very professional and friendly. I'm looking forward to managing my condition with Dr. and his team.
