Gruff. Judgmental. Uncaring. And those are kind words to describe this so called mental health professional. Never ever have I had a doctor hold up his hand to silence me when I attempted to speak. Folks seek him for help, not the poor attitude that he demonstrates. Extreme when you consider that is it my health insurance, earned by my hard work that is paying him to allegedly.offer me help. Never felt like so mistreated. If you really need help, go elsewhere.

Dr. Zucker does not listen or even try to understand me. He rarely lets you talk to him. He allows only a yes or no answer and then cuts you off. I have major depression and have seen more than 10 psychiatrists over 30 years and he is by far the worst. He is an extremely arogant man and often condescending.

Just lookup dr austrian on google.....they were partners and dr sucker was as bad as austrian....definitely just in it for money.....saw him for about 2 yrs with no positive results and was prescribed numerous mess for anxiety can not recommend

i have been seeing dr zucker since i was 19 [im almost 32 now] he has been treating me for ocd, social and generalized anxiety, some adhd, and insomnia. normally i need a dr with a better bedside manner, but i certainly have seen worse. i do trust him, since i am so much better on the meds than i was before. he is very strict about being there/on time for appoinments, but it is a fair request. he does do things to "cover his a$$", but i understand him not wanting to step outside of his expertise area. his appointments are brief, but he always will see me if i need it. his staff [one person mostly] is very nice to me, and his office is always clean. he doesnt fake caring, so when he does make a statement you can be confident he is being genuine. i walked in there already aware of my diagnosis at age 19, and he never suggested otherwise. i have seen him for a few years without having insurance and he never told me to see another dr. he is a no B.S. doctor.

Zucker is a frustrating and frustrated something or other. My son, who is having mental issues doesn't want to upset the applecart by moving to anothert person, but we will have to overrule him soon. Zucker has made it impossible. he watches the clock, looks away, hides behind HIPPA, is seldom emotionally involved and is obviously anxious in his fees. A sad, sad story.

Doesn't have a clue how to treat psychiatric customers. Thinks they know how they feel!! I told him the meds he prescribed were causing very harmful side effects. Continued to prescribe. Should have his license revoked, if he even has one!! Better to treat yourself then get worse with him!!

Gruff, yes. Not even slightly warm and fuzzy. Unlike some doctors, Zucker doesn't pretend to a degree of caring that he does not possess. Somewhat eccentric, yes. Collections, of fossils, etc, fill his office. Very upset if you don't come and don't call. But as far as I can tell (and I am a connnoisseur of psychiatrists) he has a sound knowledge of the relevant medication. His comments on my treatment regime were basically the same as a $600/hr psychopharmacologist in Manhattan. I have also found Zucker praised by other doctors in the area for his expertise.

This former pathologist turned psychiatrist is indeed rude, gruff, and dare I say, in it for the money. He refuses to see patients who have substance abuse problems (common issue with bi-polar disorder). Appointments seem to be at best, 5-7 minutes. He makes no eye contact and simply types information into his laptop. He comes across as very uncaring which is not so great when you are really depressed and looking for help. See Dr. Zucker at your own risk. I will say, however, that if you are in a crisis, it's relatively easy to get a quick appointment and unlike many psychiatrists in the area, he is still accepting new patients. So...he may be a good short-term solution, but I can't say I'd want to stick with him for an extended period of tims.

Dr. Zucker's office is very dirty and not organized.He does not listen to the patient and can be very rude.When person seeking for help doctors should be at least ,kind but Dr. Zucker is not.

I disagree with the other reviews. Dr. Zucker is very professional, always explains his diagnosis and discusses all side effects. At the close of the session he makes sure I know how to reach him should I have any questions or concerns before my next appointment. He has made a huge difference in my life.
