Have been seeing Stauss for about 10 yrs, hhmmm, you'd think I'd be feeling better after all this time. Have both SCS and pain pump implanted. Problem at the moment is neuropathy, with SEVERE muscle atrophy (really!! who has flabby forearms?). There's NO communication between departments and mix ups always happening!

The high points are some of the staff are very sweet and personable, and I see Mary Papandria for depression. Just sort of stuck with APM at the moment.

I have been a patient of Dr Stauss for many years. I have been dealing with back problems since 1984. I have had 10 back surgeries and have residual nerve pain and other issues as a result of the surgeries. Dr Stauss did not just hand out a bunch a meds and call it a day. He heard the desperation in my voice and offered options besides just masking the pain with narcotics. This was the start on the road to many different procedures. He never gave up on me or said “Judy deal with or live with it”. His nurse Michelle and all the staff have been nothing less than compassionate and understanding to my needs also. I hope they take the time to read these reviews so they know just how much they are appreciated and how grateful I and others are for what they do.

don't become their experiment, if they fail they give up on you and treat you as a junkie! Terrible office staff, bad attitudes towards patients in pain, they think all you want is more drugs when all you want is them to follow through with their pain plan for you. they get you addicted then at their mercy like they're God or something!

I was very happy with the care I received at APM. Dr. Stauss was very professional. It was nice to go to a doctor who knew what was going on with my condition and was willing to try all options. I was so excited to go to a doctor who knew the type of pain I was feeling and now I am on the road to recovery. I am feeling very positive that my future will soon be pain free.

The staff will not take message for Dr. and are disrespectful They try to play Dr. over phone when this is not the person I want giving me advice about my care. Will not relay concerns to Dr. and will make an appt. only. I thought being private not one of the big guys I would NOT being getting treated like I called a clinic where the patients are treated as if they are on a conveyor belt. I was WRONG...given the treatment staff. Phone staff liasons are not considerate, compasionate or helpful because afterall we as patients are at their mercy and were are not a person just a voice on the other line. What ever happened to the human side of healthcare? :(

Dr. Stauss is an excelent pain management doctor. He does not make you feel like a junkie like most doctors do when you try to seek relief for chronic pain. The office is usualy realy backed up, sometimes 1 to 1.5 hours past appointment to get called but as anyone with cronic pain knows you can't just go to any doctor and expect to get reasonable compassionate care for treating chronic pain.
