Excellent psychiatrist. He is highly intuitive, knowledgeable and caring. He has helped me through many life crises over the years and I feel very grateful to be his patient!

I would agree with everyone else here that he is a good, kind, caring guy. But after a few sessions you will be killing time, grasping at straws, trying out random whims. There's no real plan here. I remember my last session being a cursory look at Freud, and I think that was it for me. A cathartic ear to be sure, but don't expect anything lasting or practical.

I have only praise for Dr. B. He goes above and beyond what is expected of a psychiatrist and genuinely cares. If I call him he always gets back to me within a couple hours and makes time for me when I need him. He has so much knowledge of the clinical side of therapy and never pushes me to take pills. He has made a huge difference in my life and has talked me off the ledge more than once. I would recommend him to everyone. I have seen a handful of therapists in the past and he is a standout. I'm surprised at the negative comments as I have never had a bad experience with him he even goes so far as to have sessions with my family members and me. He's the best

No staff, so automatic five stars to be fair. Dr B has always been on time, ended on time if not later when there was a chance. I did not enter into long term behavioral therapy so likely missed out on what he does best. But he was always kind enough to book me in if I wound up in trouble and needed his help. Very nice and caring person. Sometimes a little distracted by technology, eg some video, interactive software, or app he wants to share. These can be helpful but sometimes you just want to vent your current horror and have a doctor respond to it. The truth is I'm rather polite and tend not to push my agenda, so it's not like he can read my mind if I don't bring up what I'd like to address. Does not push drugs like some other local psychiatrists might, but will consider their use when appropriate.

Dr. B is a nice guy, don't get me wrong. But he is not a good psychiatrist. He did things with meds that did not make sense to me or other doctors I have seen since. He wasted my precious 50 minutes with YouTube videos and talking about things that had nothing to do with mental health. I am kicking myself for not having the courage to complain, but that's a hard thing to do when severely depressed and self-conscious as a result.

If you have real mental health concerns, please heed my warning and find someone else. You owe it to yourself to get real help. If you have more minor depression or certain life-related problems he may be of help, but he is not the answer for an unwell person.

I found him to be a very caring and thoughtful doctor who really seems to want the best for his patients. It is quite surprising to me that a past reviewer described him as arrogant as I have never experienced this. I would recommend him to anyone and have found him very helpful during a very difficult time.

Never once pushed pills. I feel like if he pushed pills on you, he might have actually been looking out for you. I have seen a lot of awful psychiatrists - he's not one of them. Almost a holistic approach to mental health.

I feel bad giving Dr Blunderfield a poor rating, he's a nice fellow, and generally enjoyed speaking with him, but I feel future patients need to be warned, if you come here with real problems needing someone to talk to, this is not the person for you. To begin he asked if I was ok trying out something I call "Avoidance therapy" I cant remember what he called it but he showed me a few videos and forms about it, the idea is that you look forward and just concentrate on what the future held, not dwell on the past. Effectively what this means is NOT talking about what is bothering you, even if you bring it up, and doing things like filling out forms rating how you feel about things on a scale of 1-5 or 1-10 or something. The whole thing felt completely ridiculous, and combined with the heavy push for very powerful mind altering drugs, which had an enormously negative effect on my life, I have completely lost faith in the psychiatric method and am left languishing in a pit of despair.
