I visited Dr. Bruce Rice for a deviated septum repair. The consultation went okay, but when I went back for the surgery, he seemed to have an attitude. he was rude and childish. I figured since I've gone that far, I might as well complete the procedure. It seemed to go "okay", but I really didn't like his attitude. I returned about 1 week later so he could remove the bandage from my nose. About 2 weeks after that, I was rollerblading .. then felt something in my nose. I pulled a bit. Then pulled more. It turned out to be a 4 inch length of bandage that he didn't remove. I would NEVER go back to him, or recommend him to anyone. Skip this doctor. You will be glad you did.

My 19 yr. old grandson was seen by this dr. for swollen lymph nodes before going home for the holidays. (His mother is currently receiving chemo for leukemia) The dr. called him the day before Christmas Eve and told him that his lab work was back and that he most likely had leukemia, but they didn't know which kind. He told him to see a hematologist asap. Of course nothing was open, so he had to wait from Dec. 23 until Dec. 28 to be able to see a dr. Do you have any idea of what kind of a Christmas holiday this young man and his family had?!!!! Turns out that he had MONO!!!

I understand that Dr. Rice is very highly regarded by his fellow physicians. Based on my interaction with him, he is extremely knowledgeable. I have a rare blood disorder that he was familiar with. His bedside manner is horrible, though. He got into my space and initiated a procedure without warning, which intimidated the bejeezus out of me, and then yelled at me for freaking out. I cannot recommend him. I am foregoing treatment rather than returning to him.

My first visit - while I was in the waiting room, he was screaming at a cancer patient because the patient wanted a 2nd opinion!! Also, his waiting room was extremely dusty, a terrible sign, considering he''s seeing people with allergies and sinus problems! I have chronic sinus problems, he ordered a CT scan, told me the scan was normal and there was nothing wrong with me and said he could refer me to a psychiatrist. (The next ENT doc I saw said my CT scan was definitely not normal and proceeded to come up with a plan for my severe sinusitis.
