I though Dr. Gardner would get to the bottom of my chronic cough, but that he did not. He told me I had GERDs disease and to take prilosec and stay away from acidic foods. He also recommended that I sleep somewhat elevated. I followed this procedure for a few months, but it did not alleviate my cough that I have been dealing with for over 8 years. I went back, only to be told the same thing. Finally I went to an internist for other problems I was having, which turned out to be gallbladder and he did a test on me where I wore a tube going in through my nose, down my throat into my stomach for 24 hours. The test checked the ph levels in my stomach to determine if I had acid reflux. It turns out that I didn't have acid reflux, and I am still suffering. Haven't been back to Dr. Gardner because he was very unempathtic and rude to me. Additionally he didn't fix any of my problems. I Wouldn't go back nor recommend his services.

Dr. Gardner is the first sinus doctor I have seen, where I did not leave his office crying. I have severe sinus problems. Now we will see if he can help me! I like this doctor. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME GOING TO U of M sinus doctors, horrible experiences there.

Very thorough exam and pleasant manner to me, even though my diagnosis was nothing much to worry about. He was recommended to me by another Dr. who apparently personally uses him. That says it all to me!

I am shocked by the previous post. I have been a patient of Dr Gardners since 2005. I had been to many doctors before him and finally had my problem properly diagnosed by Dr Gardner and the staff at Henry Ford. His knowledge of my problem and suberb capibilities as a surgeon literally saved my life. He has gone out of the way to be accomadating to my needs. I have never seen him exhibit any signs of rudeness to his staff and have seen him on countless occasions. I have never been one to be impressed by an individual simply because they are a doctor, if anything I am a bit of a skeptic when it comes to dealing with the medical community. There is a reason Dr Gardner is known for being at the top in his field.

In my opinion, Dr. Gardner was dismissive of my health concerns. It is also my opinion that he treats his patients and staff in a rude manner. I left the office nearly in tears after he handed me a sheet of paper with a recipe for saline solution in response to my chronic sinus infections. I was quite surprised I was not advised to come back if symptoms did not clear. I suffered for weeks with acute sinus infections before calling to schedule my appointment. If not for my insistence with his nurse, I would have had to wait nearly a *month* for the next available appointment with him! I am glad I did not allow myself to wait a month and continue to suffer just to get an appointment with him. This was my first and last experience with Dr. Gardner. I had hoped by seeing a specialist who came highly recommended that he would get to the bottom of my health problems. Unfortunately, I am still suffering and looking for another doctor.
