My husband and I have been patients of r. Rauchwarg for numerous years. He also takes care of our handicapped daughter. In all the years we have had Doctor R. we have never felt he we dismissive, reluctant to give his best information or refer to other doctors out of his area of expertise. I will and have placed our health and medical safety completely in his hands. I also have many friends who see him and every one of them respects him and would not change doctors for there primary care.

Dr. Rauschwarg spends the minimum amount of time with you and doesn’t hesitate to tell you that you are taking up other patients’ time if you dare to expect more than 10 or 15 minutes. I found him to be indecisive, as well.

Dr Rauchwarg was my doctor years ago when I had chronic pain and health insurance. I no longer live close to his practice but do have insurance again. I've tried other doctors and I'm so happy to come back to him. I definitely feel like he listens to me, is thoughtful, knowledgeable, and kind. I'm so happy to be back! I like his new staff too

Totally agree with previous comments. Dr. Rauchwarg is more concerned about his “report card” from the state when it comes to providing perscriptions (not pain meds). His condesening attitude and wave of his hand in myface cutting me off was all it took for me to write this provider off. Being new to the area I hope I can find a doctor with better listening skills and better bedside manner.

Unfortunately my latest visit with Dr.Rauchwarg fortified a positive trait gone overboard. While I appreciate prudence and professionalism the Dr. refused to refill a anti-anxiety drug (used very sporadically) or to offer anything other than a homeopathic approach citing a VA ruling on Opioid dispensing that (after reading fully) had no applicable relationship to my request. As a 4+ year patient approaching 70 years old with ZERO history of substance abuse or a proclivity towards it, the DR. used this new law to fortify his already extremely conservative approach. I respect the Dr. but did not find an advocate for me, the patient rather a professional more concerned about possible litigation (in general) than in my case in particular. I hope this doesn't require me to find a new physician, not because of the RX refusal but because in the "shrug of the shoulders" demeanor.

Love Dr. Rauchwarg. He is kind, gentle, and knowledgeable-if he doesn't know an answer, he'll find out for you or get you a recommendation. He's so patient and dedicated- you can tell he sincerely cares about his patients.

Dr. Rachwarg is scared to be a doctor. He is scared of medications and his ability to make medical decisions and judgement calls. The practice itself is money hungry, requiring to come into the office for simple refills on medications that are needed for cholesterol, acid reflux and simple medications like Tramadol. These medications are not something people abuse, these are every day life things some of us, especially at 80+ years of age need to take after a heart attack, surgeries, life in general. Also abruptly taking someone off a anti-depressant is dangerous but simply okay with the doctor to do. This is very unprofessional and can resolved with education and not being scared to actually being a doctor. There is no reason for this type of practice in todays society.

Stop being afraid to be a doctor and step up and make those tough decisions we pay you for. Inexcusable if you ask me. Absolutely dangerous too, continuing education and having to deal with real world people in real world situations would be advised.

Thank you,
Former patient.

I have enjoyed my experience with Dr. Rauchwarg. He listens to your concerns and takes time to explain things. I never feel like I'm rushed out of the room, which I've often felt at previous Primary Care Physician offices. I also have a couple of health problems that require me to see a couple of specialists. He is good about being the "in between" person that helps me navigate the information between all my doctors.

I have been a patient of Dr. Rauchwarg for years. He is BY FAR the most thorough and knowledgeable doctor I have ever encountered. He always takes time to listen to your concerns and asks questions to get to the root of the problem rather than dealing with only the symptoms. In 20 minutes, he accurately diagnosed me with a condition that 2 other specialists couldn't figure out in a year of appointments.
