If you're depressed and holding onto a tiny smidgen of hope that maybe, just maybe, things will get better, see literally ANYONE else. However, if you're looking to quash that smidgen of hope and justify biting the bullet and calling it quits for good, that's another matter.
I would think that telling extremely depressed patients that there are no options and nothing will be of any benefit to them would be ill-advised. No follow up, nothing. But hey, I'm not the expert. I'm just someone who is (shockingly) still alive and kicking, and thus able to write this review.
Be careful with yourselves out there. There is still hope, contrary to what I was told by this mental health "professional".

All I have to say is that Dr.J.Stewart is a great asset to his field. He does know what he is talking about and studying upon. He can only improve upon his career by taking a more hands on approach. I like the fact that that he treats his patients as individuals, rather than as case studies or defined by their illness(es). Keep up the great ideals.

Dr. Stewart is a very nice man. He he has never questioned the rule book given to him on graduation by the pharmaceutical companies. Side effects are just a part of the way we do business. He cannot cure, he can prescribe treatments for the symptoms of your problems. For a cure, go to a different kind of doctor.

I had a great encounter with this psychiatrist. I only saw him once, but he set me on course and gave me the confidence I needed to carry on. Does not push drugs, forces me to look at myself and trust in myself. He is very well educated and experienced.

Very thorough and knowledgeable. Has helped greatly . Makes you feel at ease and does not talk down to you like many doctors do. Explains everything in a way you can understand. Just a wonderful psychiatrist.

This young, brilliant psychiatrist has undeniably SAVED MY LIFE! Thank GOD for him or I’d be VERY fretful about my health. He has brought my suicidal thoughts from a total reality, to working on putting my life back on track with NO thoughts at all of ending my life. He works with behavioral modification and his gentle, enormous heart and dedication with his patients makes HIM, by far, the ONLY psychiatrist I have seen in my many++ years (there’s been more than a handful) that truly cares about the outcome of his patient's progress. It’s VERY obvious it’s not the paycheck he’s after. He takes on an holistic/head-to-toe inventory at EVERY appointment. His staff is the BEST (Mary-Lou). She has a beautiful heart as well and truly cares about all patients. Her job description may be (on paper) typing, answering phones, etc., for Dr. Stewart's office. However, she goes WAY beyond the call of duty. Pretty incredible! Let's do all we can to keep these young, gifted specialists in N-Ontario.
