Vance gives the same speech at every visit and isnt willing to discuss all the levels with me. He is really good at talking about walking in NYC and well liked he is at some washington school.

Worse doctor i have ever been too. He is arrogant and rude . He diagnosed me after only a couple questions and didnt seem to want to listen when i tried to explain in more detail what was going on with me. I would never reccomend him to anyone.

This doctor is touted and recommended by everyone I talked to, and even my family practitioner recommended him because he is supposedly the only one in town. I was very disappointed in his treatment, his attitude, his unwillingness to listen to me (the patient). He is part of the problem of mainstream doctors who automatically prescribe a pill that does not help, and refers to old data, and does not understand the advancement in thyroid disease research and the awareness that is finally growing. I was disappointed with his lack of interest in finding root causes to symptoms, and stubborn set in his ways of not looking at anything but a typical protocol for a healthy person. If you are a thyroid patient or a hashimotos patient this Dr. will not do more than put you on Synthroid and give you a lecture about how the brain works with regards to TSH. Which I already knew when I went in to see him. If you want real healing and you want to find the root cause of your disease and symptoms this Dr will not help. I would however recommend looking into Dr. Isabella Wentz author of The root cause and hashimotos patient.

Dr. Vance was extremely helpful. He took time to listen to my concerns. He is offered treatments beyond just medicines. For example, he was able to discuss the research behind HIIT training and gave me practical ideas of how I could get more exercise into my very busy schedule.

After the work up, I always receive a letter he has reviewed containing my labs with an explanation and further instructions.

I happily refer Dr. Vance and his staff to all of my friends and family!

Carl Vance has the worst bedside manner, hands down! Arrogant, abrasive, more interested in telling me what a genius he is instead of helping me, which he DIDN'T. He made a difficult situation even worse, all of which cost me hundreds of dollars. Any good reviews are from his family members.

Dr. Vance was able to correctly diagnose a problem that I have had since I was a youth. I have had doctors from the Mayo Clinic and the University of Arizona Medical Faculty try to diagnose my condition, but Dr. Vance was the one who diagnosed a rare disease. I was able to get a surgery and get off many medications. Thank goodness he tells you what you need to do to improve your health. You may not want to hear what he has to say, but over the last 10 years as I have followed his instruction my has quality of life improved.

Dr. Vance, and I use the term Dr. loosely, not only has an atrocious beside manner, but follows up on absolutely nothing he diagnosis. He walks into the room and with absolutely no salutation, begins listening to himself talk into his little tape recorder. He basically told me on my first visit that I either needed a transplant or I was going to die. Then he had me in for more blood tests and told me I have another condition that is very serious. When I told the front desk that I was only in for some blood work, he must have overheard, because he then came up to me and said, "I can't believe you, 'you're only in for some blood work?'" That's what I was there for! Then there are no follow ups. He said I needed to be referred to a specialist. After month I called his office wondering what was taking so long, they said I would get a call that afternoon. Almost two weeks later the call still hasn't come. And I certainly don't appreciate anyone pushing their religion on me, as he does.
