Dr. Huerta is exceptionally caring and takes the time to rule out other issues before jumping into surgery. He has performed 2 surgeries on me, unrelated. I would choose Dr Huerta over the other options in Dickson. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about his office Manager; Linda (think?) She is atrocious and I cannot fathom any Dr with the compassion Dr H. has, to allow a person like her to ever come in contact with his patients. I cannot say enough good about him, though. Always always get a second opinion. Most insuarances will allow second opinions, since can save them money in the long run.

Dr. Huerta has exceptional people skills. He went over my entire medical history before discussing the issue at hand. He answered all of my questions honestly. Also, his staff is wonderful. They don't rush you thru like some offices do. I highly recommend him.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Huerta in an office visit related to refulx. Within a few weeks, I was on the operating table. A few weeks later I was there again with a hernia caused by the first surgery. I hate to say he rushes to surgery but I feel I was operated on when it wasn't necessary. At the time I was a believer in all things he said but since I realize I may have been taken advantage of. I have really good insurance and I think that played a part. Always get a second opinion.

Whoever wrote the previous review is obviously an idiot and is not a doctor. If they were, they would know how to spell "spleen". Dr. Huerta is an excellent physician who is very knowledgeable. He explains everything carefully to his patients and makes sure that they feel comfortable. He never rushes a patient to surgery without exhausting every other option and is extremely involved throughout the whole process. Simply put, he is an excellent physician.

Was willing to perform a surgery to take out a splein without further investigating the true cause behind the original diagnosis of an enlarged splein.Even after been asked directly if this would solve the medical problem or not, he said that he just takes out what he is told to. As a doctor , I thought it was neccesary to follow up to be sure before performing any invasive surgery to anyone's body.Always ask alot of Questions.Turns out it was Strep A that had been not detected in the blood stream that had the splein working to fight the infection,thus causing the splein to become enlarged. Treatable by antibiotics.
