Dr. Trent operated on me in August 2013. From my first visit to the present time he has been totally honest and has shown great respect and care. His office assistant, Michelle, is currently not working. I have nothing but deep respect and thanks for her in providing me the necessary information I needed before and after my surgery. I deeply respect Dr. Trent and respectfully request each of you pray for him. I have had some problems since the surgery but this was totally explained as a possibility prior to surgery. My surgery was extensive and with risk. I recommend this individual as a man and as a doctor. G.C.

I have grave concerns about Mr. Trent. I am writing on behalf of my father, who is immobile at this time. Mr. Trent was on rotation at the hospital where my father went after suffering spinal compression fractures. Mr. Trent performed two successful kyphoplasty procedures. He followed up with my father and stated he needed for my father to have an MRI, because he believed my father had additional spinal fractures. After that appointment, no one has contacted my family for almost a month. While my father suffers, the staff at Appalachian Orthopaedics has not returned any calls we have made to follow Mr. Trent's guidance. Multiple family members and my father's primary care physician have tried to contact Mr. Trent and now when we call, they have begun to hang up on us. It's rumored Mr. Trent's nurse/coordinator is off; but no one has contacted my father or family. No voice mails have been returned and now when we call, the staff have begun to hang up.UNBELIEVABLE & UNPROFESSIONAL.

Dr. Trent is an fee based Dr. For the VA. He was very truthful with me, he made sure I had a understanding of what he would do and the expected results. Most people don't understand how difficult the VA can be to work with. It is my belief Dr. Trent went beyond what was expected of him, and the advice his staff gave me was very helpful in obtaining the type of PT he thought i needed. I would recommend him to all who needs or thinks they need surgery, if surgery wasn't needed he would send you for other treatment. I would use him again and hope he is around for many years to come. THANKS!! It would not be worthy if I didn't mention his right arm Michele, those two working together make a GREAT team. Thanks you two!!

Do not go to this Dr. He is a very mean person and doesn't know how to treat his patients. This is personal experience recently. I will not go back to him. Everyone I have incountered has had the same experience. I'm going to a differant Dr.

Dr Trent did a major back surgery on me in Dec of 2008. I truly can not put into words how very special Dr Trent and his assistant Michelle have been throughout this whole ordeal. You are not a number here, it is personal with them. This was my fourth and final back surgery. The other three were done by another surgeon who left me in a bad shape. I thank God for Dr Trent and Michelle for all their care. You won't go wrong with them!!!

I have co insurance so what I have to pay out of pocket is very low. I'm 80, fell and broke my leg very badly. He did surgery placing a metal plate to hold my bone together. I have brittle bone disease. It took me a very long time to heal from the surgery but it was a major surgery so that's expected. I have also been in a wheelchair since the fall due to not having good balance and very brittle bones, I break easy. I can't stand well on that leg. I do believe that as thin as my bones are, it's a mirical he could do anything with it. I have healed well now but I have on going mild pain in that leg. Dr Trent is a very funny and nice person. He did everything in his power to help me. Most dr's wouldn't touch me because of my bones being so thin and brittle, they just crumble. Thank you Trent for taking the chance on me when other dr's wouldn't. I'd be much worse off now, if not for you.
