I had my first ever gastroscopy this year and did not like Dr. Jenkins bedside manner at all. I informed him I was extremely nervous and he responded in a non caring manner. I'm no baby so my nervousness was very real. True, he gave me a lot of stuff to knock me out or whatever they do but that did not make up for his uncaring remark as it turned me right off. Also, I was not informed of any discomfort I might feel once I got home so didn't even know if what I was experiencing was normal or not. I, personally, will not go to this Doctor again.

Dr Jenkins performed my first colonoscopy 2 yrs ago. Am in a high risk category so got a call from someone at his office with my next appt. She emailed the instructions to me and, when I saw I'd have to drink that 4L jug of YUCK again, I emailed back asking if I could cleanse with Pico Salax instead (both my sisters had been given that by their doctors). Otherwise, I'd have to cancel as there was no way I could down all that stuff again. Response I got back..."Your appt has been cancelled". So, I guess Pico Salax is NOT an option????

Dr. Jenkins is an amazing doctor. Very thoughful and caring. I was nervous about having a gastroscopy, He had it set up so I was asleep and have no memory of the procedure. Follow up was quick and reasuring. Gave reasons for my stomach polyps and ideas etc to manage with them. I recommend Dr Jenkins to anyone that needs a Gastroentrologist.

I found Dr. Jenkins to be couteous and professional. Excellent follow up. I was given choices as to sedation. Other patients should consider that there may be discomfort when objects are inserted into the various cavities. No two patients are going to have similar experiences. I also found the nurses at RDRH to be very kind and they offered to take the time to explain the procedure. I would recommend Dr. Jenkins, Thanks

last colonoscopy I had was 22 years ago and was very reluctant to have another.Dr. Jenkins was very professional,knowledgeable and pain free. No discomfort whatsoever.Would not hesitate to have another.

Had gastroscopy followed immediately by colonoscopy. Awake during the colonoscopy but could not talk. Found it very disturbing, and the next day cried non-stop. Dr not concerned when I told him about it later. Made me wait for well over a month for the results, and staff had originally tried to make me wait more than 2 months to come for results. Was testing for Celiac and only took one intestinal biopsy during the gastroscopy, should have taken as many as 8 or so. No diagnosis, no help with further reasons as to constant diarrhea. Suggested I follow the Canada food guide for eating and wished me well(Celiacs can not anything with gluten, sit really makes the food guide difficult along with multiple allergies to beef, pork, turkey and lactose intollerance and soy intollerance.I was loking for help and didn't get it, I guess. Dr. Was kind and friendly, just not in any way helpful and the conscious sedation for the colonoscopy was not effective.

I went for a Gastrocopy by Dr Jenkins, it was the biggest nightmare up my life I was awake during the procedure. I was not sedated enough. I fought the whole way though. The nursing staff held me down. I listened to myself gargle, choke and gag the whole time I was in the worst pain of my life.
