Avoid this guy and Magee dental!!!! His wife or so called office manager is very incompetent .... Does not know how to bill insurances and is dishonest!! When my new dentist verified my insurance, they found out they billed the insurance for services not performed! Dr Magee seems like a buffoon...very incompetent and not the sharpest tool in the shed. Please avoid this place. Oh, and he will try to sell you Invisalign like its the next big thing!!

I wish I had read these before I made the mistake of visiting this dentist with my son. They are just down the street and $39 seemed like a good deal for a cleaning. I smelled a rat when they had me watch a clip about gum disease by one of those TV doctors like Dr. Oz. I had just had my teeth cleaned 8 months earlier and asked if I needed a deep cleaning. My dentist said no. I had no pockets over 4 mm. Check out this article:
When Do You Need Dental Deep Cleaning?
June 16, 2015
By Cynthia Wilson
When a dental deep cleaning is needed
The American Academy of Periodontology recommends dentists offer deep cleanings when X-rays show bone loss and a full-mouth exam reveals one or more gum pockets greater than 4 millimeters deep. Dr. Stuart J. Forum, a periodontology’s and president of American Academy of Periodontology, says treatments should be limited to the affected teeth or mouth quadrant. “Treat only areas that are sick,” he says. To prevent gum disease, Froum recommends flossing and brushing daily, particularly after eating sugary foods, and avoiding smoking.
Dr. Stephen Lim, who practices in mid-town Manhattan, says some deep cleanings are necessary to treat gum disease, but adds that some medical consulting firms advise dentists to offer deep cleanings to improve their bottom line. He says hygienists also perform deep cleanings, freeing the dentist to do more complex, and expensive, procedures. But Lim says practices that pay hygienists on commission, or offer bonuses for services they recommend, encourage unnecessary treatment. “Monetary incentives influence [hygienists] to overtreat,” Lim says.

McGee said I needed a deep cleaning and refused to give me a regular cleaning after I had purchased his fake insurance. I told him he was a scam artist and that I was calling my credit card company to dispute the charge. I also called my attorney. My 22 year old had his teeth cleaned and I told them not to do anything without my approval. They said he had 2 cavities and recommended invisiline braces. He already had braces and I will not believe he has cavities until I have him go to a dentist I trust. The credit card company gave me immediate credit while disputing the charge. I already have an attorney waiting to pounce on this guy if he disputes my dispute. Don't go near this guy.

Worst dentist experience EVER! I had a Groupon for a cleaning and whitening tray. I had my appointment scheduled for a Friday. Thursday afternoon the office called and said they needed to cancel as the dentist had an emergency. I rescheduled for Saturday.
The dental hygienist was very awkward when taking x-Rays of my teeth, as if he was new and inexperienced. He then proceeds to tell me that I have gum disease and need an expensive deep cleaning. The office lady then tries to get me to sign up for their dental insurance with payment plan so I could get the work done immediately. I have always had good teeth with no cavities.
The dentist then comes in and tried to shame me into getting the work done. I told him I wasn't getting any deep cleaning done today. He then tells me "Fine but by the time you're 40 you're going to loose all of your teeth!" OMG! I have never had a "professional" person speak to me so rudely! I will NEVER be back!!! This dentist office is obviously only after your money.

I went there apprx a month ago, just to pull 1 tooth. Then he sits down and tells my dad I need to have ALL of my Upper teeth extracted and a full set of upper dentures put in because x-rays showed something in my gums or " something", totally confused but, my dad ended up buying HIS INSURANCE, ignoring my insurance, and was pointing at things we don't know what we're looking at, he say's he'll do it for almost $4,000.00, so here we go, other than the fact that he's constantly yelling at his staff and cussing, the day confirmed via text to come in and do the procedure, was suddenly cancelled and said it was the wrong day, Nope, I had the text. I went in, let him rip out every tooth and they didn't have my dentures yet. I had to come back the next day for those. They hurt SO bad, I cried and they made my facial structure look like a different Ugly person and even my dad was Stunned. He was totally ANNOYED AND LAUGHED this creepy laugh, looking at me like I was an idiot.
He takes the teeth and starts drilling the dentures and putting them back in, still Severe pain, out of the blue, he Opens my mouth with that Butterfly clip and gives me Gas and I told him I knew there were still teeth in there and he said No it was just jaw bone, 1%1/2 hrs later, my dad watched the whole thing and he said the whole inside of my mouth was sliced up like fish strips, and then Magee said, Oh, look, there is a tooth in there???? omg. He has been unable to finish them and I have been with teeth since day one. Apprx a month. I still have no teeth,
Bed side Manor: Sucks, kinda scary
Efficency: Terrible, He has ONE gas can, so only One person can buy that.
Obviously I will be getting them professionally fixed but, his lies, and talking about Loving to read the Bible, while he's using God's name in vain, is sickening. Karma man.

Magee Dental just wants your money! I walked in there and they automatically made me sign up for Care Credit. I went in for a simple cleaning of $39.99 and I walked out almost paying $5,200! Dr. Magee does not inform you of anything that he is doing to your mouth, when he is examining your mouth or filling cavities he just does it and does not say anything about what he is doing! He could be pulling teeth out I wouldn't have even known. I went in there expecting to just have a cleaning and I was just about to leave and they told me that I had 10 cavities last minute. My teeth are perfect; I've never had any problems! I am a very gullible person so I said go ahead, they were able to do all my 10 cavities that day...I have TMJ! I said I could not do all 10 at once but they did not listen to me. I was more than unhappy with their service, I DO NOT recommend this dentist at all to anyone. They burnt my tongue to the point where I cannot even talk. They gave me 15 shots of Novocaine and I have a slight heart murmur and severe anxiety. Then they tried to make me get Invisiline. To rack up my bill even more & they signed me up for their insurance plan that I never agreed too.
