I started seeing Dr. Masel after switching from Women's Health Corp. in McLean. My pregnancy was complicated from the start, and Arlington Women's Center was always on top of it. Your first appointment will be with the nurses and the sonographer. Your second appointment will be with the doctor. Unfortunately for me, my first appointment with Dr. Masel was heartbreaking. I found out about my missed miscarriage that day, and she was wonderful. She treated me like I had been a patient of hers for years. She took time to explain all of my options and made sure she was available the next day to do my D&C. And she was so nice to my husband after the procedure. He made a point of telling me how good she was. I can't say enough positive things about Arlington Women's Center and Virginia Hospital Center. Hopefully I'll be going back for my second pregnancy one day.

After seeing two other doctors and being at my wits end concerning my illness and how poorly I was treated, I did an internet search on doctors in the area and saw the rave reviews on Dr. Masel - all of the reviews were CORRECT! She listens to her patients, explains things in terms you understand, and her bedside manner shows that she CARES about you and wants to do what's best for you. There should be more doctors out there like her, and now that I found her, I won't go anywhere else!

Dr. Masel was very helpful. I had a few questions and she answered them clearly and in terms that I could understand. I would definitely recommend her to anyone in the area.

I relocated to the area for job purposes and had a hard time finding a doctor. After tiresome of constantly traveling out of state to my main doctor, I found AWC and was given an (godsend) appointment with Dr. Masel. At the end of my first appointment, I was instantly impressed and amazed by her knowledge, expertise and her wonderful bedside manner, one that I have never come across in a doctor in my life! She is absolutely phenomenal and very compassionate. My mother and I absolutely adore her. I am sooo glad and lucky to have found Dr. Masel. Now, my life is better because of her.

Dr. Masel stands out among the physicians in her practice. She listens to my questions and pays attention. She doesn't rush you out of your appointments. Unfortunately, my experience with the 3 other doctors in the practice is sub-par (they have been late, do not listen, did not read my chart before entering the room, and were dismissive of my concerns). I wish I could see only Dr. Masel.

Dr. Masel is kind, compassionate, trusting, caring, and actually took the time to listen to my concerns and wishes. She is up-to-date on new procedures and treatments and is careful in explaining any pros/cons with all treatments.

Dr. Masel is an extraordinary physician because she's not only brilliant but she does what so few doctors these days do: she cares, she listens, and she goes out of her way to make her patients feel comfortable. From the first appointment all the way through the delivery, Dr. Masel took the time to explain in clear non-med-geek speak everything that was going on, and she patiently answered all the questions I had. Having now referred several friends to Dr. Masel, and having now heard their raves as well, I know that there's just something uniquely special about her. Some doctors just have "it," and Dr. Masel obviously does.

Dr Masel was very friendly and put me at ease. I would definitely recommend her to my friends and family. The entire office is very comfortable and everyone is nice and competent. They had me in and out in less than 45 minutes.

I chose Dr. Masel as my first ob/gyn, and she really put me at ease. I found her extremely personable, and she listened attentively to all of my concerns. She went over bc options, but she did not pressure me into any decisions. I have since recommended her to my friends, and they have also had great experiences. Office staff is very friendly, as well, and they return my calls promptly. I had a 35-minute wait on the exam table, but that was due to a preterm labor emergency, so I can't really fault the practice for that. I generally dislike doctors and hospitals, but I really trust this doctor and the others in the practice.
