I am writing this on behalf of my mother. She's 89 and has been a patient of Dr. Stephenson for nine years. This whole time I have never liked this doctor, but my mother insisted he was okay. On the visits I've been there with her, he always made me feel like he didn't want me there. Very indifferent and insensitive to her problems. He even snapped at her once when she was trying to explain something. His new staff seems very incompetent. This is the second time we've had a problem getting a prescription renewed for her. They say they are sending it to the pharmacy, and it never gets there till the end of the day. She had to suffer through the weekend with a urinary infection and then again on Monday the whole day because they waited so long to fax it in. This is unacceptable. She won't be going back to this doctor.

This was a poor choice for me to choose this doctor. He is impolite, rude and does not answer my questions concering my health. I have gone to him for almost 2 years. He had a great staff,Suly(nurse)Jolyn and Caroline who were front desk. I went to my appt and he had all new staff that had no medical knowledge at all. That tells you something when his entire staff leaves all at once!

His medical knowledge is seriously wanting. He's indifferent. During our visit, he was more interested in talking about his stock portfolio than discussing my medical issues. When doctors graduate medical school, a few get an "A"; some get a "B"; most get a "C". SOmehow this guy slipped through with a C minus.

Dr. Stephenson is arrogant, impersonal, superficial and incompetent. Why he is doing direct patient care I dont know: he is clearly unhappy. He does not listen, thinks he knows everything, is a poor communicator, and performs superficial histories and exams. I have been a patient of his for many yearsDo yourself a favor and stay away. Now I understand why so many people hate doctors.

I have been a patient of Dr. Stephenson's for 6 years now and I love him. He takes time to listen, time to explain anything I inquire about without making me feel uncomfortable. He is thorough and very knowledgeable in his field. I can always get in to see him when necessary, he returns phone calls and is efficient regarding medicine refills. I have been to many doctors and none of them measure up to Dr. Stephenson!

Interacting with Dr Stephenson left me feeling that the only way to get information from him was to ask him specific questions. For instance, I had to ask him if I should continue the medication I was taking. He said yes. I then asked what dose. He said 2 tablets 3 times a day. I asked if by 2 tablets he meant 400mg. He said yes. Unfortunately I forgot to ask him how long I should take the medication for, so he never told me. Maybe his mind was on something else, but the overall help I received was ridiculously poor. Aside from the help, I also felt belittled when I asked other questions. As such I won't be visiting Dr Stephenson again.
